The Deck Doctor offer several types of deck materials ranging from natural to composite wood. Whether you need a pool fence installation, a fence for your large commercial property, or just a regular backyard fence - The Deck Doctor can help you with your fence project. We can provide you with a wide variety of fence styles to choose from or we can create a custom fence design that is right for you.
Wood is a natural material and requires care in order to last as long as possible. Most decks and fences built in Ontario are made from softwood, which rots much more easily than hardwood. Typical repairs for a deck include replacing rotting boards, splitting boards (common with Pressure Treated wood), rotting railings, and broken stairs.

Hired to fix wooden fence and replace wood panels on deck and steps.
Brian and his partner did a good job. They are responsive to questions and knowledgeable about their trade.
Brian is easy to talk to and very accommodating - he's looking for a Post Cap to finished off the one additional post that he had to replace. He is honest and charges a fair price.

Retained to restore & seal a 1-year old cedar deck
Upside: owner was personable, and initially responsive
Downsides:
-the power-washing removed only minimal grey
-the power-washer setting was apparently too high and raised the wood fibres across the entire deck causing ridges and splinters
-sealant was either poor quality or inappropriately applied which caused uneven absorption and pooling of water on the wood surface
-when contacted about this, received no responses
An unsatisfactory and disappointing experience / we now have to redo the entire deck ourselves
