Your dentist may extract a tooth for various reasons such as, severe decay, advanced gum disease, impaction (such as wisdom teeth) or injury beyond repair. Once your tooth is extracted, you may experience difficulty in chewing, normal jaw function and problems with your temporomandibular joints, which may affect your overall dental health.
Dental bridges are used to fill the gap when one or more tooth is missing. Bridges are a fixed solution to maintain a natural appearance and normal function of the mouth. Replacing the gap left behind by missing teeth is important for a healthy dental appearance and function. When a tooth is missing, the other teeth will shift and fill the space, leading to an accumulation in plaque and later, gum disease.
Dental implants are metal frames that are surgically attached to the jawbone, once in position, it creates a secure and permanent anchor for individual crowns. Amazing place to get your dental treatment. This is the 1st time I am getting dental treatment in Canada and they were very systematic in creating my dental history. Whatever problems they identified, were fixed in due time and with a lot of care. I've said it once, but I'll say it again - if I could give Dr. Ro and the rest of the Upper Thornhill Dental Care a million stars, I would. I wouldn't normally be this quick to leave an updated review, but I absolutely knew I had to because of how well my most recent appointment went.
I unfortunately needed to have 4 extractions done because I have a tiny mouth, and teeth the size of Chiclets, so when my orthodontist said: "either the teeth, or jaw surgery to correct your bite." - well, no brainer.
When extraction day finally came, I was an absolute nervous wreck.

I was looking to switch my dentist because I felt like my family's dentist was always trying to get money out of us or more focused on my Invisalign instead of my oral health. So I jumped on the Opencare offer and decided to try out a different dentist that was closer to home and I'm so glad I did.
I saw Dr. Linda Chau and she was amazing. In the past couple of visits I've had with her (including an initial check-up, a cleaning, a root canal, and a root canal check up), I've never had to wait for her. She's always professional, punctual, and extremely thorough in my visits
