One star bc they claim they have implemented contact tracing yet collect no phone numbers or email or any form of contact (just arbitrary names)!! Also, the guy helping me pick frames would suddenly and with no notice charge his hands over (literally) to move the glasses sitting on my face to "adjust" them!!? This is during a global pandemic and… with no regard for social distancing or basic manners! Even after telling him to just let me know if he thinks i need to adjust how glasses sit on my face, he again moved in to move the frame at which point I had to walk backwards and tell him to

I had a fantastic experience getting my eyes fully checked out and examined. The staff were extremely professional and very careful with high attention to detail - Dr. Carmen was amazing and took the time to answer all my questions. I've been coming here for about 15 years and always received great service and results. After my visit today I simply had to show my appreciation after one of my lenses dropped out for the third time in ten days. In spite of being busy they somehow inserted the lens and tightened it in there, straightened my frame and returned to me sparkling clean some 15 minutes later.. Thank you so much!

I visited Dumalo Optometry on a visit to Vancouver and was extremely impressed with their professionalism from the front desk to the testing staff to the doctor. They also have a wide array of frames and are extremely helpful in assisting you to find the best look for you. When I got my glasses, they were perfect-no adjustment necessary even with progressives! I definitely will return!

They have a large selection of frames in various price ranges so picking something was easy.
I didn’t feel pressured to make a decision quickly.

I had a great experience at Dumalo Optometry!
All the staff were both friendly and helpful. Dr. Dumalo was very thorough in her assessments and I also appreciated that she took the time to explain her findings. The office was clean and bright, and there was an excellent variety of frames. Additionally, the staff (Vicky in particular!) were helpful in assisting me to find the right frames for my new glasses.
I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic!!

Really impressed with this place. I needed an emergency eye exam as I managed to injure myself. They managed to fit me in! Big thank you to Dr Tyler strong for a good thorough exam and for fixing me up. He also called later in the day to make sure I was still doing well. Great care here and the front desk ladies were also very friendly. I don't have vision issues otherwise I would make this my regular place.

The eye exam was a bit pricey, I do have to admit that. however, the exam was very comprehensive I thought and very thorough. the staff was very nice and knew what they were doing. I love the fact that they don't pressure you into buying glasses or contacts from them. other places that I've been to tend to pressure you and I always found that very uncomfortable.

Eye exams here are way overpriced.
Antoinette Dumalo charges $107 for a "complete" eye exam and updated prescription. But if you wear contacts, you are hit with an additional $80 charge when you show up for your appointment, for a total of $187. She will refuse to discuss anything relating to your wearing of contact lenses during the so-called "complete" eye exam unless you pay the extra fee. This optometrist seems more concerned about profit than good customer service.

I was in need of an optometrist in North Van once I moved from Yaletown to North Van. I did a google search, and voila, Dr. Dumalo came up. I have been going here for the past few years and have always received fast and efficient service from all of the employees.
To be honest, I have actually never met with Dr. Dumalo. Her associate, Dr. Strong has checked my eyes on a couple of occasions and has always been very helpful and professional. I come here every few months or so to pick up some more contacts. Overall, great place and highly recommended!
