The Open Door is a faith-based child care centre that strives to provide children with a safe and nurturing environment that encourages compassion, empathy, and a sense of community. We provide care for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 12 and are open Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you are looking to register your child, or you have any questions about our rates, availability, or services, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Services
Our preschool program is for children 3 and 4 years of age. Our preschool program offers many fun and interactive ways to connect with their friends through. The goal of our program is to provide child-centered, play-based learning experiences in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters each child's total growth and development socially, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
This program is for children from 2 to 5 years of age. Our Daycare program offers free play, crafts, gym, outside playground, phonics, and circle time, where the children experience weekly educational themes. The goal of this program is to provide child-centered, play-based learning experiences in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development socially, physically, intellectually, creatively, and emotionally.
We provide transportation to and from each of these schools each day and all-day care is available on days when school is not in session. The goal is of this program is to offer a safe and caring environment that helps each child to grow in their independence while also nurturing their development socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

This program was designed to appeal specifically to the older children in our centre. While the program certainly provides a lot of structured activities, children are also encouraged to be creative and imaginative and there is more flexibility in terms of activities.
K.I.C.K.'s (Kids in the Community 'Konnecting') is a weekly church ministry for children in grades 4 and 5 led by Ms. Monica (our Director of Family Ministries).
The purpose of our K.I.C.K.'s program is to provide a time and place where pre-teens from our community can come together and "konnect" with one another; where they will feel accepted and loved; and where good relationships can also lead to leadership development; all while having fun together.
