Cassios Italian Restaurant
Cassio's Italian Restaurant in Jasper opened in 2009, using the same recipes and work ethic that were created by the original Cassio family restaurant dating back to 1947 in Sudbury, ON. Using fresh local ingredients where possible in all of our dishes, we strive to continue the legacy of Romano and Mary Cassio. Using fresh, local ingredients where possible, we have created authentic Italian dishes inspired by our Italian roots. With our extensive take out menu, we are ready to serve you.
Services
Our patio open, weather permitting. We are taking reservations on the patio. They will be held for 15 minutes and beyond that you will lose your reservation as a no show. We ask the you be on time, no exceptions! We are still doing Take Away Service! Anna, Michael and their staff prepare real Italian cuisine with distinct flavours, to order, from old family recipes at this friendly and casual restaurant.
This is our favourite restaurant in Jasper. We visit several times a year, and this restaurant is consistent with food quality, generous quantity, and even more generous hospitality. The waitresses are kind and well trained and the front of house is run by the owners, who really do care that you are happy with your meal.
We are always looking for experienced waitstaff! Must have fine dining experience and be a team player. A minimum of 2 years experience required and must have your smart serve ticket. We had the most fabulous meal here tonight! We started with PEI mussels and calamari, and the flavour was amazing. We had a table of four and we had Fettuccine Alfredo, New York steak, Pescatore and mushroom soup. We enjoyed a bottle of Lohr 7 Oaks cab sav. The atmosphere was friendly, (the owner was there and asked how we enjoyed our meal) fantastic service. We would highly recommend this Italian restaurant. They will not disappoint.

I went to Cassios Italian Restaurant last night, on my first visit to Jasper as the menu, and reviews looked great. I had just drove the four hours from Edmonton to explore. I didn't have a plan on what to do, I just wanted to see Jasper as I just relocated to Alberta from Eastern Canada and had already seen Canmore, and Banff. It was supper time when I arrived. When I had walked past Cassios and looked in the windows, there were lots of empty tables so my husband and I decided it was a good night for some Italian. Our opinion soon changed, as the one staff member who greeted us (I assume was the

Fantastic dinner on our first night in Jasper. We ordered takeout and the food was packaged great so everything was warm and tasty when we got back to the hotel. They even included a nice snowman card wishing Happy Holidays on our order bag, a thoughtful touch!

A beautiful spot for a romantic dinner.
During our first trip out to Jasper, my partner and I chose this restaurant for our romantic dinner. This was the only dinner out we experienced and we were thrilled with everything from the service, food and atmosphere.
The service was great. We were waited on in a timely manner and the server was exceptional. They cleared the table when needed and were available but not overbearing. We loved their calm nature and ability to know when we needed them and when we wanted time alone.
The atmosphere was gorgeous and romantic. The music was a perfect hearing

It's still the pandemic & Alberta is hit hard. Our first time travel out of town in the last 18 months.
Kudos for checking everything according to the AHS guidelines. Vaccination records checked. The place is quite big & tables are set respectably spaced out. There are wood panel screens on both sides of our table. We have a tablet with a full frontal view of the VIA Jasper Station, a real bonus.
The service is first class, thanks to Earyne.
We had the Caprese, with wonderful balsamic vinegar. The risotto Milanese was infused with saffron with the seafood stock having a hint of lobster. The

Cassius, an Italian Restaurant in Jasper AB, is a very nice and clean establishment.
PROS: - Great food and big portions
- Nice and friendly staff
- Warm ambiance
- Clean washrooms
- Free access to a stuffed animal museum of local wildlife in the basement of the restaurant.
CONS: - Napkins should be larger and beefier. The small paper napkin we received was insufficient.

Waitress was very nice (the only reason for the 2-star), but the food is not good. Thought pasta was a safe choice but this was very disappointing. Pasta was over cooked, sauce tasted like jarred sauce, and the calamari tasted and looked like nachos. I chose a pasta dish with chicken, shrimp and sausage and there wasn't any shrimp and the meat was not good. On top of it all, it was pretty pricey for what it is. I hope there are better restaurants in Jasper.

Good food and drinks. Waitress was fantastic and hostess kept filling our water glasses. My steak was very good. My wife's risotto was fantastic according to her. Dessert menu was extensive and hard to decide from. We went with salted caramel gelato. They had gas heaters keeping the outdoor patio warm plus blankets on the seats for those that needed more. Great experience.

Had the pesto pasta which was delicious. The other people at my table had other pastas which I tried, and they were decent, but not as good. Additionally, the calamari was just okay. Great wine and service though.

Food was prepared quickly and was plenty rich. The bread was soft and just the right amount of garlic for my taste. Had the chicken Alfredo and butternut penne and they were outstanding. The penne were a little heavy on the oil, but the flavor was there. We will have to try other items and report as time goes on.

So we went to here for dinner tonight. And for the most part it was phenomenal. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly and very attentive and on the spot with everything. My only complaint is The Pre-cooked penne. It was pre cooked and was either microwaved or thrown in hot water for a short time and served. It was very AL Dente. You would think for a place that makes you take your hat off “which is a Common Italian practice”. You would think the owner would be Authentic Italian in cooking fresh pasta noodles. Now as for the Bolognese sauce, it was perfect! The wife had the flatbread and

Bad first impression after getting seated. The hostess was quite rude about asking to remove your hat inside the restaurant. We were waiting outside for a few minutes and I never seen any notification of these "rules" of no headwear. It's strange as most of us had t-shirts and shorts on so obviously there's no dress code. The service is quite slow, but the food was good.

This is a really good Italian restaurant. I had my doubts when I saw the reviews. After eating at this establishment, I disagree with the reviews and believe this restaurant should get an average of 4 stars.
For 3 course meal for $30 (restrictions may apply where you have to pay additional $2-4 depending on the dish) that is a steal. I ordered the mussels, Ossobuco and dessert (Sorry, I forgot what I ordered). Then we have two pasta dish to share. All the dishes tasted really good and that I wanted to get more bread to mop up the sauce in the mussels. This shows it is really good. The chefs did

I ordered mushroom ravioli (vegetarian) tasted like seafood and was swimming in an inch of liquid butter. They took it back and brought me veal marsala, the sauce tasted like strong alcohol and the pasta was hard. Both meals were terrible. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana and part of it was very cold and part of it was very hot, apparently cooked in the microwave. Waitress was very nice though.

Had late lunch at this Italian restaurant and our experienced was good. The place is very nice and not busy so we were seated right away. Staff are friendly especially the Italian guy server. The food tastes very good except for the portioning. Serving size is too small from the standard pasta servings and very pricey. It doesn't even have a slice of garlic bread.

Visiting Jasper and decided to drop in for a 4 pm early dinner. We were the only people in the restaurant and service was personal and attentive. We were not told about the evening specials, perhaps it was too early. Overall the carbonara was decent, the pollo in butter was average. Meals cost $30 each and did not come with and type of dinner rolls or bread. Was disappointed that for$60 all we received was two entrees. Will not return.

I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot regardless of the rating since many comments were regarding service.

We walked in and was greeted by two women at the hostess stand. It was pretty empty when we arrived so we were able to sit in a nice spot by the window. They have old decor but home-y feeling.

They had a special running for the month - 3 courses for $39. And mostly everything was included with a few items for a couple extra dollars.

My friend and I went for that special. I ordered the cozze e vongole (mussels and clams). My friend order the pane farcito. We also put

This was one was fav restaurants and I came back here three years later and am so disappointed. Our sever was so disinterested and indifferent towards us right from the very beginning. We even told her that we are here back after three years and she had absolutely no response like welcome back or anything..
Next my husband asked if the appetizer could be made as an entree (the pear and Gorgonzola flatbread))her only response was "this is the standard size" and if we want we can order anything else! No suggestions at all..our entrees were pretty good but then when we ordered the dessert

Loved our experience at Cassio's! The mozzarella bread appetizer was so gooey and delicious and was a delightful way to start our meal. The selection of Italian wines is impressive and the ambiance is serene and inviting without being overly stuffy. Our server was amazing and addressed our many questions and concerns with patience and a smile.
The piccata was delicious, as were all three of the pasta dishes we tried. The best part of our meal was the limoncello creme brûlée. So tasty! Highly recommend.

We had spent the whole day driving from lake Louise to jasper and found this wonderful Italian restaurant. We arrived just ahead of a large tour group and service was still fantastic. They suggested a great red wine to try and the alfredo pasta and carbonara pasta were both delicious. If we were to come back to jasper we'd definitely eat here again.

Ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo Con Pollo for lunch. I found the noodles cooked well, sauce nice with a strong garlic flavour, and there was a decent amount of chicken. There was also a pile of some odd, sticky cheese on the top but the flavour was lost and the texture was off-putting. Garlic bread was satisfactory.
Sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. Pricing for pasta was too high in my opinion.

After a long day of work, me and three others were seriously craving some Italian food, so decided to check out Cassio's. The atmosphere is great, with very nice décor, but be aware that there is a bit of an enforced dress code. No hats and no sleeveless shirts, but that is not to be unexpected for a more upscale establishment. This place definitely seemed authentically Italian...right down to the tell-it-like-it-is, no-BS manager. She is a little snarky but fair, and definitely has a passion for what she does. There was also a moment that we figured out we could save a bit of $$$ on our

The six of us had a great evening, with a fast and friendly service. The bruschetta was good and the we liked the Calamari (though the Calamari came with the dipping sauce already on, which I would have preferred on the side). The pasta dishes were delicious and we had an amazing wine. Finished off with some sambuca.
Fantastic Cheesecake!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
