Galts Goldsmith is a Jewellery Design Studio and Art Gallery located in the heart of Calgary. A heritage house built in 1912 provides the backdrop for a unique display of handcrafted jewellery along with traditional and contemporary works of art. Established in early 1978, we have been privileged to serve discerning Calgarians and clientele from around the world for over 3 decades.

Services
Galts Goldsmith started at a small stall at one of Calgary's craft and art markets in the late nineteen-seventies. This graduated to a storefront located across from the former city landmark of the Saint Louis Hotel. From there, Galts Goldsmith moved into a shared premises with the Calgary Rock Shop in the district of Montgomery alongisde the banks of the beautiful Bow River.
At Galts Goldsmith, our 30 years of design and manufacturing experience makes creating your own piece a reality. Or, you can choose from one of the carefully handcrafted masterpieces on display in our showroom. Our access to suppliers from around the world ensures that you have an exceptional choice of precious metals and exquisite gemstones.
We are located on the corner of 14th Street and 21st Avenue SW in Calgary's inner city district of Bankview. Our premises was built close to a century ago and is one of only a few houses left from that era. You will recognize us by the artworks displayed at the front of the building. Parking is readily available on the avenue or in a reserved stall towards the back of the building.

When i was ready to propose to my now wife I talked to a few custom jewellers, James here by far has the most talent and experience out of all of them. On top of that, he's honest and helpful in suggesting what is best. For example he said i should propose with the diamond, and design the ring together. Best idea. When it came to the design, from our lousy sketch he quickly figured out exactly what we wanted and made a beautiful ring at an excellent price.

Amazing customer service from a true artist. Highly recommended for new jewellery, or to resize and repair an existing piece. James is friendly, knowledgeable and highly skilled; he wouldn't still be in business after 30 years if he didn't know what he was doing! Can't say enough good things about my experiences at Galts.
