We had a had a great experience with Hidden Valley Resort! Our family room was nice and warm with a fireplace, and we had an excellent view of the lake. We had breakfast three times here and dinner twice. Every meal was great, juice and fruit were fresh, and steak sauce was very tasty. My husband and I enjoyed our night time at the bar, and the bartender keeps us entertained as well as a full drink at all times. The one thing my husband and I noticed about Hidden Valley, compare to the other place we stayed, is the Hidden Valley staff never stop working, they always doing something to better our

Nice location and scenery. Parts of the resort and new and fresh and others are very dated.
So far the staff have been great.
Food in the dining room is limited in selection but yummy.
The pool is a good size but shockingly cold and hard to stay in for long even moving around and swimming. Sadly the jets in the hot tub were not working so we had to pack up and warmup in the shower in the room.
Exercise room and dry sauna are closed.
Seems kid friendly and accessible.
The lake view from my room was great. The deer who were eating grass 4 meters from our room at sunset was very special and

This time was a return visit as our family have stayed at the property last year. The stay was fantastic and the resort was wonderful as always. We would have liked to enjoy the outside pool more this year, and they built a new hot tub. Perhaps if times aren’t booked fully, people could swim more if capacity allowed? The pool was nice and the room was clean. Bed is comfortable especially I like the pillows. Overall its highly recommended

Great place to stay with reasonable price! I visit it with my family on the Thanks Giving long weekend, to see the fall leaves. Affordable price while other resorts nearby were way more expensive, even if we booked 1 months in advance. Stuff was great, the front desk girl is very nice. A lot of small decors in the lobby area, I believe the resort is well managed and maintained.

Had a very good weekend overall. The resort itself was in a good location right in the lakeside and hillside. Close to Huntsville and several other attractions like the Lion’s look out. Staff where very attentive and quick to deliver any item and information needed. The temperature in the room was comfortable but a little bit noisy at the night. The balcony had a nice view and the weather was perfect to sit out on and relax.

We stayed for 3 nights in Aug 2021 with our two kids (ages 10 and 13). From the pictures online we did realize that the rooms would be a bit dated and this was confirmed when we checked in. Furthermore I was disappointed in the cleanliness. There was a small but visible spill on the bathroom floor which I wiped up myself. Worst case scenario blood, best case... coffee? But either way bathroom was not mopped before we arrived as it would have been impossible to miss. There were a couple of pieces of garbage at the edge of both beds slightly covered by the comforter. Nothing too nasty... a plastic

The Birches Bistro at Hidden Valley Resort was closed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our entire stay due to an issue with their main water line. They did offer complimentary continental breakfast and supper, however we preferred to eat in town because the place is so run down. As an added bonus you could sit and enjoy your morning coffee while listening to loud construction equipment for 8 to 10 hours a day!

Horrible food and atmosphere. We went during the week and it wasn't busy at all yet it took an hour to get me and my husband's food. The food wasn't good hence not worth the wait. There was a flicking light bulb above our table the whole dinner which was so annoying. Than our waiter got our bill wrong, I told him he over charged us on a item and disagreed yet I know the price was less than what he said but i didn't want to argue since we had been there for so long already. Than to make matters worse my husband has been sick all night. Won't be going back or recommending

Food and service both was very underwhelming.
We ordered Beef rib poutine, alfredo pasta and chicken stuffed with cheese.
Beef rib poutine was very good and that's it.
They forgot to add chicken to the Alfredo and we had to send it back, they added chicken to the past and returned.
Chicken and Swiss cheese was ok, it was a little dry for my taste but that was the only thing i could have in their menu.
It took a long time before the appetizers got to us and even longer for the mains to arrive.
If you are looking for a better place to eat in huntsville, try Family Restaurant or little

We stayed at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant. I had the beef rib feature. The corn on the cob was reheated and over cooked. The fingerling potatoes tasted like they had been sitting all day. This was at 7:00 in the afternoon in prime summer season. The meal was tiny and did not reflect the premium price since it was the most expensive dish and the feature. I stayed at the hotel for three nights but didn't eat there again.

This restaurant is now known as, "The Birches Bistro". My wife and I had dinner here the other night and it was excellent. I had the special which is a 3 course meal for $30. I choose the mushroom/leek soup, the steak and the maple pie. All were fantastic. I could eat that soup everyday. The steak was actually done medium well which is what I ordered. Should have ordered medium. I was doing that thing were you order one level more than what you actually want as it's usually rarer than what you ordered but that wasn't the case here. My fault though. Still good and the
