Although we are very proud and happy to work in newer homes, we specialize in the older homes of Toronto. We deal with knob and tube wiring, galvinized and lead pipes, lathe and plaster walls and all the other characteristics of an old home on a daily basis.

Many Toronto homeowners prefer older homes because of the character they bring and the solid structure they offer. We carry $2,000,000 in liability insurance on all projects. We provide a 2 year warranty on all work completed. We are a licensed contractor with the City of Toronto. All of our workers are covered by The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario (W.S.I.B.) Although our project was large and involved many trades, John took care of everything.

I had Avonlea, a few years ago, redo my old bathroom, (this post is a little tardy I'm afraid.) It has been an absolute joy. It was not an easy task taking out an original cast iron tub I was told. They are a great team for sure. Very trustworthy. The reason I have come back to their page is that I am getting ready to have my 1922 kitchen remodelled (probably next summer.) I will call on Avonlea in the near future, to see what ideas they have for a new kitchen. Kudos.
