In December of 1970, the original Jim's Pizzeria was opened at 26 Front St. in Trenton. The little take-out with a few tables offered lasagna, pizza and spaghetti. Thus, the menu was limited and the idea was simple: prepare everything from start to finish and use only the freshest ingredients. From the pizza dough to the sauces, everything was prepared on the premises.
We believe that good food does not have to be difficult to prepare. It is our experience that the opposite is true - simplicity in the kitchen leads to food that is timeless. We're not looking to put a new spin on pasta. We make traditional Italian food from recipes that have been a part of our family for generations.
The same great taste, carefully prepared, is available for Home Service for those times when you want to relax at home or entertain at the workplace. It's how we started in 1970 and what made us famous! We make our dough daily from scratch. We only use the best, freshest ingredients, which we chop and slice in-house.
Tomasso's Italian Grille is an upscale-casual restaurant located on the banks of the famous Trent River in the heart of downtown Trenton. Built across three properties for multi level seating with soaring ceilings, touches of wood and steel and a waterfront patio - the setting is a perfect combination of city style and rustic Mediterranean comfort.
Tomasso's Italian Grille & Jim's Pizzeria Gift Certificates are available in any denomination and redeemable at both locations. For your convenience, gift certificates can be purchased at the hostess stand in Tomasso's or take-out counter in Jim's Pizzeria. Tomasso's Italian Grille & Jim's Pizzeria gift certificates never expire, however, they cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen.

Very good food and friendly service. Had the Ceasar salad with chicken and enjoyed. It was 4/5 and certainly was a full meal serving. Had excellent amount of real bacon. Will try something else next visit, as their pasta and pizzas looked very good, too. This is certainly the spot to enjoy when in Trenton. Excellent view of the water at the window seats. I recommend Tomasso's.

There are a lot of different rooms and spaces within the restaurant, as well as tables that are more private/quiet for those looking for a quiet meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the back windows overlook the water, and during the summer there is a beautiful patio space along the water as well.
They provided pick-up fine dining meals throughout COVID for their customers and have been great in all our interactions throughout

Not a bad meal but not the best either. It was just ok. We were very rushed . Waitress kept asking me during my meal if I was done when I was talking and resting during bites . Question why couldn’t offer us… fresh cracked pepper . Been to other restaurants in many different areas during COVID and they offer fresh cracked pepper on your meal . Covid isn’t a excuse . My meal said sausage in the pasta dish but it was pepperoni.

Just got back. Congratulations to you all. Took our granddaughter for lunch. Folks if your looking for a superior place to go …. Tomassos is the place. The ambiance, the staff and the food are as always… delicious. Jaclyn was our server,she was so wonderful. We saw and experienced all her smiles and joy from her eyes and under the mask. This has always been our go to place and with Covid this was our 1st outing in 20 months. So thrilled to take our granddaughter to such a nice place , for her to remember . The staff follow protocols so effectively and efficiently it’s relaxing

Everything is on point. The food was really fresh, balanced and full of flavors. The portions are impressive and the service is of the highest quality.
The atmosphere is a bit fancy, but it remains very relaxed and enjoyable. When the servers serves the main dishes, they offer you fresh parmesan cheese and pepper, it compliments most meals very well.
The pizza was one of the best if not the best pizza I have ever had! Everything was perfect, the ingredients were crazy delicious, the flavours were perfectly balanced and the crust is unbelievable.

Family run Italian restaurant that serves reliable, if unsurprising dishes. I've been here quite a few times over the years and the food is generally consistent, although the pizzas are good, which is what you would expect given the heritage. On this visit I had the house spaghetti, which is a unique take on spaghetti and meatballs - in that you also get mushrooms, peppers, onions and salami on top. I'm on the fence if these additions are worthwhile because the meatballs are very good and everything else tends to detract from that. One thing I should point out - there are always plenty of staff

You will be as comfortable sitting indoor or outdoor However, if the weather is nice you can't beat the view on the patio by the water. Five stars for service: very friendly and attentive servers. Good wine menu. Three stars for food: the food is well prepared and presented, so you know they put their heart into it. However for me it lacks that oomph once you bite into it. Ok place to have lunch if you don't have many options. We had a caesar salad and a haddock (small portion). The salad was just ok, the bacons on it were not good at all, and it had too much dressing. The haddock was too small but ok. The tartar sauce was good. The fries were ok, some of them a little burnt.

Probably the largest restaurant in Trenton and certainly among the best, though I haven't tried out a lot of them yet. Visited in September 2018 with a buddy while working at the nearby base, we had an excellent time. It's a bit of a Tardis, being a lot larger inside than it would appear from the street. There's seating for any and all occasions and a nice patio for al fresco in season. Food is excellent and plentiful, the beer and wine lists more than adequate and the prices very reasonable. The cheesey dough balls are fantastic! If you like cheesey goodness then definitely get an order of those.
The service was very friendly and attentive. Refills on drinks were frequent and fast.
I had the "seafood melt" on the lunch special and enjoyed it very much. Definitely stop by here if you're in town.

This was the fifth time visiting, and it will be the last.
Ate there yesterday. Each time the dish has been the Sea Food Fettuccini. Each time is was not as good as the time prior.
Yesterday, the sauce seemed off, a little too thick.
My father had the veal parmesan and the veal was very tough.
My mom had the code, the coating was a little raw.
Only the wife's meal turned out correct.
We were seated in the back area with a view to the river. There were too many tables, making it difficult for Dad to get around. The noise level made it difficult to hear each other.

The food and the service here were unbelievable. I had the fisherman a platter- haddock, coconut shrimp and shrimp skewers, and I left the restaurant as a very happy and satisfied girl
To top it off, I had the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and honesty it was the best cheesecake I have had in a while!! I would definitely not skip out on dessert here.
