Dr. Stephanie Royston - North Okanagan Shuswap house call services for your pet's veterinary needs. Dr. Royston is a house call veterinarian who enjoys building a strong rapport with her clients. Through communication and education, she works with pet owners in an all inclusive approach that includes preventive medicine.

Serving the North Okanagan Shuswap area including Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, Oyama, Armstrong, Enderby, Falkland and Salmon Arm. House calls are possible for areas outside those listed but please be aware that travel costs will be greater. Dr. Royston also consults on nutrition and behavioural problems, and performs any necessary surgeries and diagnostic procedures, including radiography, at the Creekside Animal Clinic in Vernon.

Scope of Practice Report

The strength and theme of Dr. Royston's practice is based on compassionate home care. In the context of a house call, she can better appreciate a pet's environment, diet and family dynamics. Many pets, especially cats, are much more relaxed in their home environment where they can be examined and monitored without causing undue stress on them and their owners.

Policies & Fees Report

Multi pet households are offered a discount on charges for vaccinations and exams given to more than two pets per visit. As it is difficult to travel with a full inventory of medication, shampoos, vitamins and prescription diets, some of these items will be prescribed and can be obtained at Creekside Animal Clinic.

Very good with all our animals. She has been our vet for several years, for check ups, shots, and crossing over. Dr. Steph was there in our darkest time and we have never had such an amazing support and understanding during the whole process. We have a young dog with seizures and she has helped us understand what is going on and supported us every "episode". I highly recommend having her come to your cats/dogs... all our animals love her :)

I trust this simple statement of Linda and my gratitude for helping our 13 year old Boarder Collie Chai with his passing, provides others with courage to contact Dr. Royston to make a similar decision.
Dr. Royston (Steph) offered Linda and I, deeply sympathetic encouragement to make a profoundly distressing decision to euthanize Chai.

She was extremely kind and accommodating during a very difficult time for my family. My regular vet turned away our senior dog, and every other vet in town didn't answer! She also provided advice for our sick kitty years ago during an emergency late at night. Highly recommend!!

It appears that people either give this vet 5 stars, or 1 star. I suppose if she ever called you back and you got to use her services, she might be good? But I am one of the ones who never got a phone call back. Although the pet in question died, I do have a number of others that still might have been able to use her services. I wouldn't trust her now though, since she didn't even call back.

I left two messages in two days in November for a health check visit for my aging dog who also had an ailment..she never connected with me for a consult or appointment. Fast forward to February where my husband left her a call back number and I left detailed message that I'm reaching out to her again with situation now worsening where we need end of life care. That was on a Friday and no call back Monday or Tuesday on either of our phones so we had no choice but to take our beloved pet for what was a very stressful last ride to put her down. If she was too busy for goodness sake at least call people

My wife and I met Dr. Royston for the first time on Friday when we were forced to put our 4 year old much loved cat to sleep.

Dr. Royston is the perfect choice for me and my pets. Her care and empathy of my Thomas Cat was superb; both when he had a medical emergency and when serious health issues indicated it was time to help him to the Rainbow Bridge. She is an amazing vet and is REALLY good with animals. I am Very happy I chose her to come visit my Moakie.We ended up having to go to the central animal clinic as moakie had medical problems that needed surgery but she set it all up and got my cat started on antibiotics and pain control… she Also clipped her nails With such skill, it was amazing! Before my cat knew it, it was all over. I would definitely recommend the visiting vet! Thank you Steph :-)
