We have the largest kitchen and bath showroom in Victoria with full time designers, support staff and a full services team.

Urbana Designers of Fine Kitchens has been in the design business for over 30 years. Urbana is privileged to bring Columbia Cabinets (manufactured in Abbotsford, BC) and Nickels Cabinets (manufactured in Richmond, BC) to Vancouver Island. Urbana is proud to offer Vancouver Island a 3500 square foot showroom plus additional office space in the downtown Victoria Design District with numerous custom full size kitchens, vanities and closets.

This is my first negative review and so it has taken me a while to write it. We hired Urbana in June of 2020 to help us build our dream custom kitchen. We had employed them in the past to install two other kitchens and we were happy with the finished product. Sadly, we were not rewarded with the same results the third time around. The kitchen was mis-measured on two walls. After several attempts on Urbana's behalf to unsuccessfully mask the deficiences with fillers, it was decided that the countertops and some of the cabinetry would have to be removed, rebuilt and reinstalled. I stopped into Urbana to look at kitchen design and materials. I was so impressed by the depth of knowledge, friendliness and expertise Ellen showed us. She had ideas that were creative, thoughtful and most importantly a just the right blend of functionalIt’s and beauty. Urbana did a wonderful job on a kitchen renovation at my Sister's house, so I knew we were in good hands when we started our own project. Our designer, Ellen, was knowledgeable, pleasant and patient with our very specific want list. Customer service and communication is top notch from everyone - the designer, the logistics person and the installer. The cabinetry is excellent quality and we are so happy with our beautiful kitchen.

Stay away if you want service and professionalism. Terrible organization, dysfunctional staff communications, and seriously confused accounting. They were unable to meet the agreed schedule for installation of a bathroom cabinet, despite ample notice, so they agreed we would have our builder do the install and we would be refunded. We had fully paid for everything, including installation. There were long delays in getting the overpayment addressed, and promises that we would be credited from an ongoing project they were dong for us. At the end of their work my husband mistakenly sent in a cheque

Urbana kitchens provided excellent service & products for our recent kitchen renovation. We had a difficult space where the fridge blocked access to the dishwasher. The designer Ellen Crystal showed us a solution that opened up the space and made our kitchen so much more efficient. She got us a plan and prices quickly. The installers were helpful & also the support staff always easy to work with. We have a really functional space our whole family enjoys.

My wife and I had a marvelous experience with Urbana in Victoria! We could not be happier with our new kitchen! Ellen Crystal, our designer, was excellent to work with. She had wonderful plans, building these upon our ideas and choices, but making helpful suggestions all through the process. We found their in-house contracting service to be… reasonably priced, while using first-rate tradesmen. We were thrilled with every person we had into the house. We had Urbana design our salon and couldn't be more happy with the results!!! Absolutely beautiful!!! The designer had an excellent knowledge of design with which she was able to incorporate our personal style and price point into the final space. One the worse customer service we ever experience in Victoria. They were very nice until the contract was signed!
It took over 3 months to get our kitchen finish they had wrong cuts 3 times!!! . The designer… NEVER contacted us or offer any help. We were left alone to make all the designs choices for the kitchen. When we tried to get help, we were told that she was on holiday and that nobody else could help. To this day, we never heard back from her. Since we could not believe it we called the store and were told that everything was normal since we had a contractor installing our kitchen
