Moving a senior parent with more than 50 years of life stuff is never easy. However Hudson was the only company that was honest, professional and very responsive when I was looking to book a moving company.
From Pat the sales person who was truthful about the costs. Quotes from other companies stated that the price “could change the day of the move”. That wasn’t ever Pat. He explained how Hudson charges. How they were operating during COVID-19- where they had very strict protocols to keep everyone safe. There was Sherry from the Customer Service team who managed the logistics of the move

Trevor and his colleagues from Hudson/United moved a half truck load of heavy furniture and boxes of personal items from Ottawa to Boston. On both ends of the move they were pleasant, careful, skilled and efficient. Trevor called us when he got hung up and the border and helped us problem solve some paperwork issues. We’d definitely use them again!

We used Hudson Movers to move from our bungalow in Scarborough to a condo. As we unpacked and moved into our new life we missed many things that we know were packed onto the truck. Curtain rods gone! No tea and tea brewing equipment made it into our new house but we packed it all so carefully. Sewing supplies, missing! Etc! The company made a token payment, then stopped responding at all. Walk through the logic - only two possibilities are possible. Boxes and items were stolen or somehow lost. We wouldn’t use Hudson Movers again, ever!

We used Hudson Movers to manage the move on my in-laws from a house they lived in for nearly 40 years to a new home. In understanding what was involved this was going to be a fairly involved task with countless pieces of furniture which have sentimental value as well as other items with tangible value the team Hudson Movers sent were literally SECOND TO NONE.
There is not a single part of the move which I could find fault in. The team of movers which were sent had levels of courtesy and professionalize I could have never predicted. The move went from 8:30am until the final items were unloaded

Rip off, not to mention condescending. Our bill was over $2000 to move a couch, a bed and an armoire plus our small boxes.
Problem after problem which left a terrible taste in my mouth.
Be prepared to double whatever they quote you, or better yet don't use them.

Although their movers are nice people and my 3 moves went smoothly, this company misleads and rips off their customers. Most recently I used them to move within the GTA and my bill was outrageous. It was over 2k! I had only 2 pieces of furniture to move and the rest were pre packaged boxes. I did ask them to pack my dishes/glasses which cost an arm and a leg. On my bill I saw $95 for a cardboard TV box, a $120 admin fee and a fuel charge! These are ridiculous fees intended to gauge the customer and I will never use Hudson again.
