I am new to Ottawa and have struggled to find a hair salon and staff that actually care about my hair health. I walked into Suit Thirteen and immediately was greeted very warmly by Maha and Amal.
They took the time to ask me what I wanted the end result to be for my hair, as in, the long term goal I have for my hair. No hair salon has ever asked me that before which I really appreciated.
I also got a cut, colour and style. Maha was the one to cut, colour, and style my hair. She is a hair GOD! She literally turned my horrible haircut into gold. I had an extremely horrible experience at a different

Highly do not recommend this salon. Very upset with the end result. Paid and asked for balayage and came out with very bad, chunky highlights. The highlights were not even near me root, they were 3/4 down my head. They use cheap products to wash hair. When she blow dried at the end I was never asked if I wanted curls or to be straightened, with no heat protection or product put into my hair. When I left my hair was very dry and unhealthy. Felt very rushed during the process as well. Do not book an appointment at Suite Thirteen unless you want to come out with something you didn’t even ask for

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had such an amazing experience today and I just had to share.
Amal was my stylist, and she was the sweetest, kindest soul. I shared with her how I had been neglecting myself due to my depression, and that my hair hadn’t been looked after for a very long time.
She made sure that I had a wonderful wash and condition, and it was so nice to have a head massage that eased some of my anxiety.
I now have the most beautiful haircut that I can actually manage, and am now looking forward to taking care of it. I feel silly for crying at the end of my appointment

Critical: Professionalism
Worst haircut ever, grew my hair out for 4 years to get a dramatic V shape and ended up with something much shorter than I wanted and no V shape at all, even after showing a picture. Absolutely hate the cut and it will take 2 years to grow out my hair to attempt the cut I actually wanted.

I have been going to Maha for all my hair appointments for the past three years. She is absolutely amazing! The first time I went in I only had a vague idea of the type of blonde I wanted to dye my hair. She knew right away what I wanted and executed it to perfection. Over the past few years we have dyed, highlighted, and done balayage. Each job has been flawless. Would 10/10 recommend Suite Thirteen!
