Dr Kristienne Pangilinan has been a healthcare provider in the Lower Mainland for over 8 years, starting out as a registered nurse in acute medicine at St. Paul's Hospital. Dr Pangilinan is a caring and compassionate dentist who makes each apppointment as easy as possible. She has been providing superior dental care at Life Dental since 2016.

I just had the most amazing experience here. I am terrified of the dentist. After a little over 10 year's of putting it off, I went in. The staff, Assistant and Dr. Sadaf Kashani were all very welcoming. You have no idea the fear I've had in the past about this. I just want to thank you all so much. I am actually looking forward to my next visit. 10/10 would recommend!

Love this dental office. The staff are amazing, friendly, and caring.
It had been some time since I'd been to the dentist and I was expecting some pain with the appointment. There was non, the scaling was gentle and I was given recommendations for my clinching that I've never been offered.
All in all, fabulous experience. 👍🏼👍🏼

Like many people, I had a bad experience with a dentist and developed anxiety about going back. Fortunately, many years later I found Life Dental on Cararvon and Dr. Pagilinan. The patience, empathy, compassion and knowledge from Dr. Pagilinan and her team, including Angela and Kim, is so appreciated and exactly what is needed in dentistry. A speciality that requires a person to be put in a vulnerable position. I was put at ease in their care and no longer experience anxiety or fear about going to the dentist. As a parent, they were wonderful with my daughter. Everything was explained thouroughly

First visit as I am working away from home. Fantastic service, very happy with the staff who got me an appointment booked quickly due to tooth pain and work was done to a high standard and the Dentist was very kind, considerate and welcoming towards me. Edit: This original review was one star, but after some back and forth they looked into their records and found that one tooth was not in fact touched and issued a refund. I think now it looks more like miscommunication and fair billing error than anything else, I'm upgrading my rating to 3.
A very unprofessional and shady place! Especially the reception stuff, but dental care wasn't top-notch either. They "fixed" 6 of my fillings on 3 sides in an hour and turns out one of the claimed teeth wasn't even touched (confirmed by a second opinion from a 3rd party dentist).

As someone who grew up hating the dentist and dreading my dental appointments it takes a lot for me to enjoy a visit to my dentist.
Dr Toews has the best attitude towards his patients. He has a very light touch for both cavities and oral surgery. He will also take the time to explain and answer any of your dental questions. His enthusiasm is also unmatched. I never thought I would ever recommend a dentist TOO ANYONE.
Dr Torre presents a very calm demeanour and also has a very light touch when filling cavities. He too is very attentive with all my oral hygiene and tooth related inquiries.

I went to Dr. Pangelinan at the Carnarvon street location for the last year and she was very patient, caring and knowledgeable. Colleen, my dental hygienist was really efficient and made sure I was comfortable during cleanings. The facilities of the Carnarvon location are very clean and new. I found the receptionists very helpful too, when rescheduling, etc. Overall I recommend the Carnarvon location! (Yelp didn't have a profile for that one)

I don’t normally do this for doctors but I feel Life Dental in new Westminster is worthy of some praise Went there today expecting at least a filling and my insurance only covers fillings or extractions Turned out was too deep to do filling and fully expected to have the tooth yanked That being said the dr went to talk to colleagues and came… back to tell me they would do root canal for same price as a filling ! 4 hours in the chair later I’m pretty sore But so grateful for this dentist and the great service the offer ! Absolutely astounding. A complete restoration of a smile i was missing for 20 years! I, and the staff endured many appointments of extractions, rebuilding and capping etc. over the winter spring and half the summer... My self image, confidence and sense if well being has been transformed by a communicative, understanding and encouraging staff that has even been more than fair with costs and payment options. I recommend to everyone and never thought i would have what they have done for me. 10/10 !

It was a good place to have teeth cleaning BUT NOT for wisdom teeth extraction!! Thank God, I didn't have my extraction done here. I had to paid a freaking $100+ from my pocket for CT scan which the staff didn't even know how to use it. It literally took longer than my cleaning and I had to come back the next day to have it done again! WTH!! The worst part is the lady dentist supposed to do my extraction and she NEVER followed up with me regarding to the operation. i was so anxious because my teeth, they are impacted. I was tired of asking and waiting for them so I switched to a professional

This place is so horrible, sketchy, and unethical. I had a small spot that needed a touch up on bonding work. Normally I'd go to my family dentist but the travel is far and I thought it would not be an issue to go this place for a quick 20 minute fix, since it's close to where I live. So they did the patch job, but then called up my long term family dentist who I really like, and told them that I no longer want to go there and to close my file. They actually did that. I never told anyone there to do this at all and made it very clear at the appointment that the visit was for a one time

I visited Life Dental a couple of weeks back to have some work done and was very impressed with the staff, service and office. Upon arriving I was immediately welcomed by friendly staff at the front desk. I was brought into the dental chair promptly. Staff assisting me were very pleasant and felt genuine in wanting to assure my visit was comfortable. Dr. Toews was very kind and personable. Upon beginning the procedure he took the time to answer any questions I had and was more than happy to explain the process. I will be going back to have a cleaning in a couple of weeks. This dental office is as good as it gets. Was traveling on business from New York, a friend recommended Dr. Toews for some emergency work. What a professional. This guy is way better than any dentist I have ever seen in New York. Plus the office was immaculate, clean, very modern and bright. And it was high tech - Netflix TV built into the ceiling above the chair and good headphones, so comfortable.

I tried Dr. Towes of Life Dental as a new dentist as I had recently moved to New Westminster.
He changed five fillings of mine. Dr. Towes insists on charging for every little thing, and he would not even agree to the rate my insurance company, Great West Life, paid because it was "too low."
The work wasn't very well done, and I had to go back for re-polishing. Even worse, it seems the fastener for the rubber dam he put in actually scratched one of my other teeth.
After the fillings were changed, I experienced ongoing pain in two of the teeth. Not confident that he could fix
