JONO Athletics is one of Cape Breton's most robust fitness gyms, located in Sydney, Nova Scotia. With amazing strength & conditioning programs to choose from, you'll always be excited to get to the gym!. The Ancient Greeks were the original athletes to admired "whole fitness, " where every aspect of your body and athleticism was well-rounded and trained.

This is the goal with our Olympia programming! Similar to how a university calls their required courses "core curriculum, " this is the stuff everyone needs. 2nd: We focus on "core" strength and conditioning in the literal sense, meaning the center of something. All movements we incorporate build the centre of the body - improving strength, balance, and whole fitness.

At JONO Athletics, our team is family. We work very hard to maintain our positive culture and our coaches are a huge part of that! We pride ourselves on great coaching, making sure our clients are safe and yet are pushed at the right time and in the right ways to ensure everyone's pursuit of fitness is achieved!
At JONO Athletics we take fitness to a new level whether you are already an athlete or a first-timer to the fitness/gym world. We are devoted to keeping the "cliques" at bay and sharing the pursuit of fitness together. TO GET STARTED, all first-timers must attend our on-ramp sessions. You can learn more about that below.
Our women's only fitness program is a great way to "Kickstart" your fitness journey! Classes will be focused on getting you fit, strong, and consistent in the gym - all the while ensuring you have fun, feel empowered, and are comfortable in your own skin!. With so many fitness options out there, we decided to design a women's only program that is both highly functional and more intentional than those other options.
Nutrition can be a tough road to travel! Especially when it comes to goals such as weight loss or muscle gain. With a large amount of variables involved, it's no wonder many of us struggle to get our nutrition dialed in. We can help!. Our Nutrition Program takes a habits based approach to help you reach your goals.
JONO is now offering two regularly-scheduled yoga classes each week for all our members on Thursdays and Sundays! We're so excited to have acclaimed yoga instructor (and JONO Athlete) Laura Bowdridge walking us through incredible stretches, breathing techniques, and so much more as we align our bodies for healthy training!
