Battle Paula Dr
With over 30 years of experience, first as a Clinical Social Worker, and then as a Registered Psychologist, I offer warm, compassionate, and respectful individual and couple counselling to Winnipeg and the surrounding area. My office is located in a beautiful residential neighbourhood in South-central Winnipeg, away from the busyness of downtown.

Having worked with children, adolescents, and families in the past, my practise now focuses exclusively on supporting adults and couples as they navigate many of life's challenges such as parenting concerns, issues around separation and divorce, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and traumatic events.
Services
When you want to make a change, I can help. I offer several different modes of therapy, including emotion-focused therapy and CBT therapy for Winnipeg and the surrounding areas. I aim to provide you with the empathy and attentiveness that you deserve.

Whether you are experiencing difficulties in your marriage or love relationship, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, stress, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), I offer my 30 years of experience to help you manage these issues.I work with adults and couples to foster connectedness and to solve unresolved conflicts.
I am committed to providing an emotionally safe environment for my clients; to listening with respect, compassion and empathy; and to collaboratively working with you to help you make the changes you wish to make in your life.

I have been registered as a Clinical Psychologist since 2000 and have spent my career, first as a social worker and then as a psychologist, assisting children, adolescents, adults, couples and families to overcome issues that have limited their happiness.
I provide couple therapy to couples of different ages and stages of life, and with diverse cultural backgrounds and orientations. The type of couple therapy I offer is Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). It is the approach developed by Dr. Sue Johnson and based on extensive research conducted over the last 25 years on adult love relationships.
My approach to psychotherapy is influenced by the family systems, attachment, developmental and interpersonal theoretical frameworks as well as, more recently, mindfulness-based approaches and Psychospirituality.

The family systems approach and the interpersonal approach recognize the interconnectedness between individuals and their close networks, and the developmental approach emphasizes the normal stages that individuals progress through in their development through the life cycle.
Call Dr. Battle's office and speak to her directly or leave her a voicemail message and she will return your call.
