Jennifer Caruk began her real estate career 27 years ago and joined Derek and his wife, Laurie when they opened the first MinCom brokerage in 1993. Starting as a receptionist, Jennifer's skill set was quickly noticed and she was promoted to Derek's full-time assistant. From here, Jennifer continued to grow and learn working alongside Derek.
Real Estate born and raised. Officially starting in the industry at the age of 14 working reception, David promptly graduated to the construction side of things. Working construction through his schooling and beyond, culminated to more than a decade of experience. David started as a labourer worked up to roles as site-supervisor, project manager and estimator, experiencing all aspects from the physical build to management.
James is Derek's youngest son and has grown up around real estate his whole life. He started his working life in the construction industry. After several years, James decided to follow in his parents' footsteps and got his real estate licence. As well as selling resale homes, James is experienced in the new home sector having worked for some of our top local builders selling new homes.
Nick emphasizes integrity, energy, hard work and creativity in every detail of your real estate transaction. Nick joined Mincom Millennium Realty in early 2002. As a successful entrepreneur in the retail food and flooring industry, Nick brought a vast knowledge of business marketing and customer service which has contributed to his success in Real Estate.

When my husband and I decided to sell our home of 20 years and purchase one out of the city, Melissa Purdy from The Derek Baird Team was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and worked around our schedules to search for our soon to be country home. A year ago I asked Jen Caruck if she could help me find a house. It came with a challenge, due to the fact that it was 2 couples living together with all different needs. She gladly accepted, even with her busy schedule and not ti mention that we had limited funds in a very tough market that was booming. After several months of looking, she found us a great home that we all happily live in to this day. Jen was so incredible in helping our family purchase a condo in a crazy market. We were anxious about finding a place in our price range given how quickly the market is rising but Jen helped us negotiate a deal we were very happy with. She was so patient with all of our questions and really listened to what we wanted which resulted in us getting exactly what we were looking for. Her communication did not end after the sale.
