So great to see them open after the lockdown. Becoming Hair Studio takes such excellent care of their clients with cleanliness, temperature being taken upon entry, hand sanitizer and all equipment being cleaned after use. Today I had my highlights done and hairstyle by Denise who always does an amazing job. I left feeling so upbeat and beautiful after being in lockdown. When the salon reopened, I was 35 weeks pregnant and in desperate need of a colour fix. Being considered “high risk” and told to be extra cautious, I was confident the salon would follow all the expected protocols, and more. I was right, there is a text before entering protocol, temperature check, and thorough hand sanitizing before you are even sat in a chair.

I have recently returned to Becoming hair salon after Covid closures. I couldn’t have felt more protected. The protocols in place made this rule following, masked girl feel safe. From waiting in my car, to full masks, to staggered seating to cleaning all the spaces used, right in front of me, every detail was meticulous. Equally as important, my hair was spectacular. Chelsea, a senior stylist, is a miracle worker. She took my long, scraggly hair riddled with grey and made me feel like myself again! I had just recently found becoming after my previous colourist left for Toronto and L’Oréal as a pro educator. Savy did my post Covid colour and cut. 100 percent professional focused and committed to the several hours getting my hair back to where the colour and condition should be. She has given me excellent education on home care to take my hair to where I want it to be; the magic doesn’t just happen in the chair:). My wife booked an appointment with Stephanie to dye her hair here for the first time and was told it was $67.

She went today and after Stephanie was done, she said she did a bunch of other things that my wife never asked for nor agreed to and charged her $278.

After a lengthy dispute, my wife got fed up and paid it and left. Worst of all, she came home with a dye job that looked exactly the same as this morning before her appointment, with 4" of hair near the roots still black (rest was dyed).

Went here after reading some reviews. In consultation my stylist was warm and understanding. The day of my appt however, I was asked to come 30min later than scheduled. I still had to wait and because I had to get home I almost had to skip the cut. It was all crammed in but I missed the massage and fun stuff and still ended up with a 300+ bill. She did an okay job w colour but the cut was not what we discussed in the consultation. No hard feelings, I just want to go somewhere where the stylist does not say "what's your name again?" while I am waiting for her or come back from break

Had roots that really grew out over the last 3 months and Amanda managed to match the colour perfectly and get my hair back! I came to this salon because they use Redken and the first time I went there I really messed up the time of my appointment, but they made it work. Really happy with this place!

Way over priced. The British lady is very nice and did a great job on my hair, but another girl there is very rude when you talk about pricing. I would not go back because I found they just make up prices.

I did love this place until I got an unexpected email from the owner who now I understand sent to many of of the salon clients. The email was in reference to stylists who used to work at the salon and who had recently made a decision to depart. The email was both unnessary and unprofessional. I went there based on a recommendation that I got from a random person while I was getting my nails done. I have been looking for a good hair Salon in Aurora and I had nothing to loose.
