KC Roofing, Siding & Renovations is a family-owned business that first began operations in the year 2000 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Owner Claude Laprade, who had already been in the roofing business for many years started the company with his wife Kim. The business started out small and for the first few years focused on providing the basics and giving the customers quality workmanship, they could rely on.
In these first few years, KC Roofing, Siding & Renovations established a great reputation and became one of the leading companies in the area. Since then, they have expanded their business to be a full-service roofing, siding, and renovation company with a growing staff of over 30 people. KC just finished my neighbour’s roof in six hours, start to finish! My neighbour, the home owner was out there all day acting like a foreman to the professional roofers and they were nothing but respectful lol! The crew was extremely courteous toward my better half and I, plus were very nice to our large, loud and some times bothersome dogs! I looked around the driveway and couldn’t find a single nail! My neighbours, myself and my better half have nothing but nice things to say about KC roofing and the crew that showed up! Thank you!

Critical: Quality
Thank you for your snide reply, very professional of you. My review is due to the fact that you installed a roof, which leaked, and would not come back to fix the issue after being called multiple times. You also did not cap windows that you installed, you said a quote doesn't include capping windows.

We recently had our home’s windows replaced and I honestly cannot recommend KC enough. As a somewhat new home owner, I was quite green when it came to home renovations so I had plenty of questions about the process. Every single question I had - whether it was asked of one of the workers or the boss - was met with patience and insight.
The quality… of work was top notch. Seriously our home has been transformed and the install happened so fast. The workers are very efficient and skilled at their craft and it really shows.
We’ll definitely be getting a hold of KC for our future

The roof leaked less than a year after installation.
At first, they said it was an ice bridge, that there's nothing they could do about it.
Then when it continued to leak and the temperature could not justify the ice bridge explanation, they finally came to patch it with a type of glue.
But the real cause of the leak was not addressed: when remaking the roof, they reused the valley flashing that was there, saying it was good at least another 50 years. It obviously was not.
When they came to patch the leak, they said the glue was good at least 5 years, but that the valley flashing would continue

They came and redid a siding job that did not pass inspection (done last summer by John Mercier which took John over 2 months and still left it incomplete) in a day and a half and did it great! Gilles and Elvis are an excellent team, the boss was in daily contact and the work was completely torn down and redone properly. I am extremely impressed… and grateful. It has passed inspection and now the house looks great and is water tight. Thank you KC Roofing & Siding. I HIGHLY recommend this company and will surely use them when my roof is in need of reshingling. (See you in about 2 years
