Helmutz Landscape & Interlock is currently hiring for full-time Landscape Construction Labourers specializing in Hardscaping (retaining walls and interlocking pavers) to add to our talented staff currently servicing the Waterloo Region. Helmutz Landscape & Interlock is a leader in residential and commercial landscape construction and retaining walls.
We are proud to be a part of the original "green" industry. Let us share a few of the many ways we participate in keeping the environment "green". When we breakup and remove your asphalt or concrete driveway, the used product does not go to the landfill! Instead, the onsite asphalt and concrete are brought to gravel pits where it is crushed into a granular material which is then used as a base material for other projects.
Helmutz offers complete Landscape design and installation along with interlock services for driveways, walks, and patios. You may already have a paving stone installation which either needs minor repairs or possibly a complete lifting and resetting. This brings out the real advantage of paving stone as the only system that is truly re-usable.
Retaining walls and stairs are our specialty! The safe and proper construction of retaining walls and stairs goes beyond the art of landscaping and requires professional engineering and advanced construction techniques. Our extensive experience in building massive retaining walls and stair structures ensures that your home project will meet all safety and building codes and will provide decades of use without shifting or deterioration.

I had Helmutz install a stone walkway along my driveway and around the front porch, and I'm very pleased with the results! Eric (and the whole team) were easy to work with from outset to install: professional, responsive, patient, and considerate of my design & accessibility goals. We were fortunate to have Helmutz crew back for the 4 th time, to work on yet another project for us. This project involved redoing our backyard patio, enlarging it, as well as prepping for a swim spa, with retaining walls. As with every project we’ve had them work on the crew were polite, efficient, respectful and always diligent with their end of day clean up. They worked with us to bring to life our vision throughout the design process. Helmutz stands by the quality of their work as well as product. We would highly recommend Helmutz for any landscaping, driveway project!

Helmutz recently installed a patio, lighting and a water feature in our backyard. Due to the grade of our yard, a small retaining wall was also installed. From planning to completion, the process couldn’t have been more smooth. We appreciated Erinne and the team’s knowledge and previous experience. This helped us narrow down our choices to get exactly what we wanted. Neighbours also commented on how impressed they were with the clean up that was done on the street each night. Helmutz did a huge job for us back in 2016. They did interlocking stone through our entire backyard, side walkway and front walkway, stoned gas fireplace as well. Absolutely gorgeous.
They were very professional, hard working, neat, tidy, on time everyday etc. Honestly probably the best company that has done work at our home.
We are now moving after 22 years in this home and we are already considering having Helmutz look at our backyard in our new home.
The best part is the crew could walk to our new home from Helmutz if they wanted to.

The process from start to finish was well thought out and well done. The only glitch we had was we were not contacted about the actual start date, but the team showed up one Monday morning and were ready to go. I consider the lack of start time to be a minor glitch given the great team we had here working and how the whole process went. We have had many compliments from the neighbours and the Helmutz team made a design which would help to accommodate one of our friends who has mobility challenges. We just love coming home and being welcomed by such a wonderful exterior.
