The flower directory is a great resource for both the retail florist and their customers! Here, the retail florist will find a guide to flower maintenance when storing flowers in the shop. The customer will find a guide to flower maintenance when bringing their flowers home! We have provided a search engine for finding flowers by colour or name.
This area is great for retail florists to send their customers to as well as the retail florist themselves. This gives the retail florist an idea of how to take care of their flowers when they bring them back from Bernard Anderson Wholesale Florist, and the florist can send their customer to the page "customer flower care" so that they will know how to care for their fresh flowers!
While proper temperature control can help extend vase life and increase flower quality, it's not the only safeguard you should have in place at your shop. Imbalanced plant growth regulators, disease, lack of water, insect infestations and exposure to UV light at high altitudes all affect plants and flowers.
Place flowers in water immediately after cutting the stems. At the cut surface, a wound response is induced which can block the capillaries again within as little as 1 minute when exposed to air. Roses are especially sensitive to cavitation(air bubbles in the stem) caused by cutting. It is best to cut roses under water.

I get all my fresh product from this supplier and it is always fresh and beautiful!! The customer service is exceptional and Emily, Phil and all the staff go beyond my expectations to fill my flower needs. You guys are the best and I can't believe it has taken me this long to leave a review. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without you.

Wanted to support a local company with my indeavor and they were recommended by a friend. I was told they would supply my business then at the last minute said they couldn't as it was conflict of interest as my mailing address is not Calgary. Then after explaining my business is just outside Calgary they gave me the excuse that they don't want to supply an online business. After many emails I did not get a response and it was too late to order. Just seems like they tried to screw me over on purpose so I could not get my arrangements made for this season. Very poor business practice. Will be buying
