Services
Colchester Community Funeral Home prides itself on being Truro's only 100% family owned and operated funeral home since 1994. Colchester Community Funeral Home was the first funeral home in Truro to be professionally designed and constructed for the sole purpose of providing funeral services to the community.
What sets Colchester Community Funeral Home apart is the quality of services provided, kind and caring personnel, a modern facility, and staff who are open-minded and who make it happen for whatever families' desire. Colchester Community Funeral Home offers a full line of services from traditional to cremation, and a range of products including traditional caskets, cremation rental caskets, various urn styles, keepsake urns and jewellery.
In Truro we have florists who have skilled arrangers that are highly qualified to suit your floral arrangement needs. Most offer after hour services so if at the last moment you would like an arrangement all you have to do is call. The flower selections that these florists have created have received great reviews from the local population and their sympathy arrangements are colourful and give you something to remember.
The finest granite is shaped and carved by our skilled craftsmen to create memorials worthy of holding your enduring remembrance. We understand that a memorial is a permanent symbol of your remembrance of a departed loved one. It should express something of the person in whose memory it is placed, and reflect your thoughts and memories of that person.
Thinking about the inevitability of one's death is a subject that few like to consider. For many, actually moving ahead with the pre-planning or pre-paying for their funeral is even more difficult to act on. When one begins to understand the financial and emotional pressure that a funeral can thrust on our loved ones, it becomes clear that planning in advance is a considerate and responsible thing to do.

I find it unacceptable that after a year+ of COVID restrictions you still haven’t implemented a reasonable way to conduct funeral services virtually. Immensely disappointed.

Recently attended a funeral here and was dissatisfied with the outdated decor and over all atmosphere. With the exception of one employee, the rest seemed condescending and.. creepy.
