Why Crop Report

At CROP our aim is to be fresh and innovative. Our goal in creating the space was to give a vintage, eclectic feel; keeping in mind aspects of a salon we couldn't do without. Scrapping the old framework of whitewashed -run of the mill hair salons, we came out exploding with texture and personality.

Our Team Report

It was the year 1999 (I know, forever ago, right?), in the land of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Danielle braved the hair industry. She continued through her career loving all things natural and soft (including cats and.reptiles?). Originally veering toward the chemistry of cosmetics, Danielle faced a shift of her perception towards the hair industry.

Stylists have been hard at work developing their talent and their passion for hair. These stylists have completed in salon education classes in Bumble & bumble, Schwarzkopf color and other great hair techniques.

I'm looking to have an ash-platinum blonde balyage with very dark brown roots. My hair is not damaged and in moderate health. A good 7 inches of my hair is untainted! I'm not looking for a cut, just colour and am happy to be a guinea-pig for a stylist who is not as experienced. I had been a customer of the Crop Hair Boutique for a few years with the same hair dresser. Several months ago was my last appointment and it did not go well. It still bothers me and that is why I am writing this review. I came in with blonde hair and asked for medium grey hair. Well I came out with black hair and had to attend my brother's wedding with it. I was not happy at all.
I came back in to try to get it fixed and left with black hair still. When my hair was trying to be fixed the hair dresser was unprofessional. She was impatient, annoyed, and accused me of showing her a different picture

Excellent value and facilities. I have always been a little embarrassed at never learning how to manage my curly hair, and have not always loved my haircuts because I never really know what to ask for as a result. Danni was really patient and kind, casually giving me some practical and simple advice here and there for how to manage my hair, without coming across as patronizing- despite me being a pretty late bloomer in styling know-how. She gave me a very low maintenance cut that does exactly what I wanted it to do, even though all I could offer her were some vague gestures to my head and dropping

I love love loved Michelle's work on my hair! I came in with virgin hair and I wanted highlights that didn't appear too streaky or too blonde and Michelle did such an amazing job with both my cut and color!!! 11/10 would recommend! Definitely a client now!!

Been seeing Danielle for a couple years. You get what you pay for, more of an upscale expensive salon but worth the money. I have never been disappointed in a cut or style. And staff has always been pleasant and friendly. Would definitely recommend

Danielle always cuts my hair and she does a fantastic job! She def knows what she's doing and if I bring a picture in that I like, I walk out looking just like it! Great atmosphere at this salon. Good music, nice and clean, and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Moved to Red Deer from Edmonton. I had already tried to have my hair done once before and it was a total fail! I decided to try Crop Hair Boutique since I found the reviews helpful and it was as described! I dealt with Lyndsey and she did an amazing color job and a great/trendy cut! The rest of the staff was great as well, comfortable atmosphere!
