These cottages were built between the late 1930s and the 1950s and maintain much of their original charm.
All cabins are fully furnished with bathrooms, some come equipped with a kitchenette and many have either electric heat or wood stoves. Services
For many years, Riverview Cottages in Nova Scotia was owned and operated by Mrs. Bernice Byers. Under new management, as of 2017, Wendy, Jay and Jordi Grant would like to take this opportunity to welcome both regular and future guests to Riverview Cottages.

The cottages at Riverview Cottages were built between the 1930s and the 1950s by the Atruim family. The cabins maintain much of their original charm. They are clean, comfortable and have full 3-piece bathrooms (showers). Cabins vary in sizes and amenities. Some offer a kitchenette, some are insulated with electric heat while others have wood stoves for chilly evenings.

Riverview Cottages has a number of activities on-site, including a children's play area, a large field for soccer players, oversize checkerboard and lawn games (badminton, horseshoes, volleyball). We also have a selection of board games that can be borrowed from the office. Area attractions and activities include museums, golf, hiking, fishing, boat tours, provincial parks, fossil and rock hounding, sea kayaking and the world's highest tides.

Wonderful mini vacation. Rented a cabin, and it had everything we needed. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing- just what we wanted. Bed(s) are comfortable, WiFi is great, lots of wood for a bon fire, and wood for our wood stove in our cottage , if needed. We had a fridge, hot plate, kitchenette, bathroom, table with chairs etc….including a shower:) Price point is very reasonable. Proximity to everything is great as it’s on the highway. Highly recommend, and will definitely be coming back…. The only negative is on our part, we took so much stuff that we really did not need as everything was provided

We had a fabulous two nights at these sweet little cottages that are set up with kitchen items, bedding and towels. We had a fire each night with the provided firewood and the stars were amazing. We even saw the space shuttle fly by! A magical stay and would HIGHLY recommend!

Riverview cottages offers a peaceful getaway for any group. Whether its a solo trip, or one with the family. There's multiple amenities to enjoy!. .....Including two separate firepit areas, a playground for the kids and multiple lawn games! And if its relaxation you are looking for you can sit on the log bench down by the river and listen to nature.
To top it all off the staff, are very friendly and they go out of their way to make your experience the best one possible. Thank you Riverview Cottages.

My wife Sylvia and I have been regular visitors at Riverview Cottages for more than 10 years. We always call it our second home because we love the Parrsboro area and it is so peaceful when staying at the cottages. It is truly one of the best places to get away from it all and relax. Just a beautiful little spot.

A lovely, peaceful escape. I spent mornings on the river behind the cottages watching the early fog evaporate and sun drape through the fields. Deer run through the back meadow, birds singing, rustic cottage touches and wood fire stoves make these cottages magical. I can not recommend enough. Within walking and biking distance to downtown Parrsboro, a truly idea spot to stay during anyone's exploration of the Fundy coastline. 5 minutes from a waterfall and 10 minutes from multiple beaches! An ideal spot.

We and four other couples stayed our first weekend once the Atlantic Bubble opened up. It was great to have your own cottage but still feel like we were all together. Our cabin had a full sized fridge and all the amenities to go along with it. Lots of room to sleep. Hot showers. And space to clean up and cook. They brought over a barbecue for us and gave us a little care package with extra items including sunscreen. Wendy and Jay were super easy to contact and their space was great. Had a spot for a fire at night and some of us went golfing at the local course. Liquor store two minutes away and

We stayed for a weekend, and had the absolute best time! Cabins are clean and owners are super friendly, there's a beautiful river for wading and cooling off and it's just minutes away from the parrsboro beach which is absolutely beautiful! And close to the town for anything you may need. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a place to go unwind and unplug from everything! We will definitely be making this a regular place to visit.

They are very basic cabins. They are charming, and clean. I stayed in Glooscap, which is well laid out and plain in a good way. We had three cottages and used the common sitting area on the lawn to have dinner and a long evening get together. I will definitely go back. It's about a kilometer to walk to downtown.

We booked our weekend get away here on a whim. My family and I were and are still floored by how beautiful and rustic the cottages are ! Excellent price, beautiful surroundings, lots of fun for the kids. I cant say enough great things about Riverview cottages!! I would like to thank Jay and Wendy for a wonderful weekend. Great people!! Riverview cottages has definitely gained a life long family visitor... Twice a year for that matter! Thanks again for everything Jay and Wendy and we will see you again in August.
