Services
Today, there is no such thing as a general "funeral service". People are choosing to plan ceremonies or tributes that are more reflective of the person and fit the lifestyle of the family. Created in 1999 by a group of like-minded individuals, Serenity was the first of its kind to not be corporately or independently owned.
Our most important strength is our dynamic team of highly qualified funeral directors and caring consultants who work together to advocate on your behalf in a way that is always helpful and professional. We are certain that our team of professionals, who are available around the clock, will be able to assist you with any of your questions or needs.
The professionals at Serenity Funeral Service will guide your family in creating a meaningful ceremony to honour the life and memory of a loved one. A ceremony can be anything you wish it to be: simple or elaborate, traditional or unique. No matter how it's tailored, such a ceremony is an important step in aiding friends, family even colleagues in recovering from loss.
She is predeceased by her parents Louis and Angele Mazenc, husband Pierre Victor, . COLBY, Terrance "Terry" Brian 1949-2021 It is with immense heartache that we announce the passing of our beloved big brother, Terry Colby, affectionately known as "Uncle T" to many of his family members. Terry's quick wit, sharp mind and sense of humour made him the life of every gathering.
Not sure where to start with regards to planning a funeral service? Although some are certain they want burial or they want cremation, the majority of us have not yet put much thought into what we might want. Much has changed since the time of only having two options.

We now have the resources to provide the traditional or alternative funeral service, celebration of life, ceremony or memorial that is tailored to your preferences and ideas on how you and your family have chosen to honour life.Create Healing Experiences One of the most important ceremonies in life happens after we pass on.

My father in law passed away recently, my mother in law chose Serenity (Fort Saskatchewan) for the funeral. It was a gong show from start to finish. We came in and she chose a date. The gentleman working said nothing about the funeral being to soon and not getting everything ready in time. It was agreed upon that the family funeral and burial would be in the morning and there would be a memorial in the afternoon.
So we let family and close friends know, So they could book flights. Then then informed us that they could not cremate him on time. We still decided to go ahead with both services anyways

Always difficult to have a funeral service, made so much harder with Covid. Serenity did an outstanding job... the service was exactly as our Grandma wanted. Ken and we believe Bill were amazing the day of the service. Everything went off perfectly and they were so thorough in explaining everything to us. We would highly recommend their services if you are unfortunate to need them. They made the day beautiful.

Sondra and her team at Serenity Funeral Service are amazing! They are caring, compassionate, helpful, and sensitive. My sister-in-law passed away and my husband and I were able to see Sondra immediately following the weekend. Everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and I highly recommend Serenity Funeral Service North Side to anyone who has to deal with the inevitable. They not only care for the deceased but the aftercare for the family as well.
Thank you so much Sondra!!!!

Terrible experience with their after care team. The guy was entitled and rude about when we could set an appointment and when I needed to reschedule because of work he hasn't called back in a month. I would definitely recommend you choose ANY other funerl service. Unbelievably unprofessional when they aren't getting your cash.

Serenity provides a fantastic service when you are at the most vulnerable time of you life. No upsell, no pressure to sign, just compassion and options as how the hardest decisions are to be made. I dealt with a large chain in Edmonton (I will not name....CM) and was so disgusted by the upsell pressure and pressure to spend money as a way to "honor" the love one lost. Please give these people a chance as we have had the misfortune to have to call on their services twice in too short a period and both times I cant stress enough the service they provide is top class and a blessing in hard times.

They were horrible to deal with at such a sensitive time. They bounced us around even though my Father pre-arranged everything. There were so many mistakes made & they were rude to my family as well so I would never recommend this company. I don't want to pick a star but this system is making me so it's forced. It was the Fort Saskatchewan location. Unfortunately we had another funeral to attend & while it wasn't as bad, they were still rather cold & abrupt.

They are affordable and strive to make a funeral something that is attainable without lots of rich expenditures. I do not, however, find them to be compassionate or respectful.

I had to deal with Serenity when a mentor of mine passed away.

I don't really know what to say in this review except that they were great. They were very kind, accommodating, and understanding.

They made the process a little bit easier by alleviating the headaches that so often come with funeral arrangements.

This is a good place to go for funeral arrangements. The staff is great and they do everything they can to help in your time of need.
