How many stairs, what is access like for trucks at each location, or factors that need to be considered? For liability purposes, the safety of our employees, and the safety of your belongings on our trucks, if you are moving in or out of a location with an elevator, lots of stairs, heavy items, we will require 3 employees or more.

The first step would be to discuss your move with our office and our Estimator. We can offer you something simple, like taking an early AM ferry over to Vancouver, picking up your belongings and catch the next ferry back. Often times if it a large home, we will keep your belongings secured on our truck at our warehouse and deliver them to your new home in Victoria the following day.

Then early the next day, we would take an early ferry and deliver your belongings to your new home on the mainland. Either way once you're all packed and ready to move, we will come the day before you can gain access to your new home and load the truck and hold it overnight.
All storage items will be brought in by our staff at Barry's Moving & Storage, as this is not a self storage facility. All items bound for storage must be labeled with the customer's first and last name. For furniture that gets placed into our storage facility we can offer shrink-wrapping and other protection on a case by case basis.

Barry's Moving exceeded my expectations. From my first call with Hazel to Russ providing a quote, the administrative team was responsive and professional. The 3 movers showed up right on time and were exceptional. Jeff, Dan and Steve handled our possessions with great care. The move was so efficient and carefully done. Not a scratch on anything. Hiring movers is a leap of faith, but I can tell you that Barry's Moving is a first class organization that treats a customer's home like it is their own. I would hire them again and will recommend to my family and friends to do the same.

Service has deteriorated badly since the first and second times we used Barry's. Now 11 years later we had 3 old guys, well past their prime and their capacity. They reported only the damage they couldn't hide and left the rest for us to find later; and then it was "oh, sorry about that" no reparation whatsoever. They failed to follow through on promise for boxes and the office staff was snotty about my request. Plus they charged us for a 15 min. for coffee @ $145/hr. Would NOT RECOMMEND them.

We have used Barry's Moving for 4 (four) residential moves and the service received has been great. Russ and his crew are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and fast. The last 2 residences have been difficult layout wise for moving and each time these men have just worked with and through the challenges.

Barry's Moving provided an exceptional service. The movers were amazing: extremely hard working, conscientious and professional. Big hearts and big muscle. They treated our stuff with great respect, transporting everything from Vancouver to Victoria in top condition. The movers were courteous and accommodating and worked tirelessly throughout a very long day. The office staff were awesome and the quoted price was highly competitive. Moving is never fun but Barry's made it as painless as possible. Any future moves will be with Barry's. Thanks for all your help. Five very big stars.
