Services
Story Book Early Learning Centre is a non-profit community-based Early Learning & Child Care Facility that provides an enriching early childhood educational experience for all children. The school, founded in 1978 is best known for its experience in fostering the healthy development of children between infancy to 12 years of age.
The child care staff at Story Book Early Learning Centre consists of dedicated, well-qualified, experienced teachers. We have Registered Early Childhood Educators who belong to the College of Early Childhood Educators. Only members of the College can use the protected title "Registered Early Childhood Educator" (RECE).
What is not for profit? Typically, Child Care facilities are incorporated as commercial or Non-Profit corporations. A Commercial facility is operated by the owner operator and expects to make a profit. A Non-Profit facility is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors with an Executive Director or Supervisor who manages the day-to-day operation.
To provide an enriched early childhood education experience for all children including children with diverse needs. To provide a positive learning environment in which relationships, growth in communication skills and a sense of self are formed. To provide optimum opportunity for children to engage in their environment for them to grow and flourish.
Every child will visit the school with a parent before enrollment. This can be arranged at your convenience, usually the week before your child starts school. This is to familiarize the child and parent with the classroom and teachers and to answer any questions and concerns the parent may have. Some parents may prefer to have a preliminary visit prior to requesting Registration Forms.
