Where did this come from? When you were 2 years old it was hard to take a great photo of you, you were cute. Couldn't help it, you just were. Then about the age of 3 you started to became 'self aware' - understanding that your mother and father were not the same person as yourself. You started to realize the photo of you was 'of you.' Then came school photos - followed by driver's license and passport photos.
Getting professional head shots should be a very quick and painless task in your busy day. I bring everything needed to create the right look for you, including professional lighting and assorted backgrounds as needed. Your photography - including handing you the disc of images - takes about 45 minutes from "setting up" to "going on with your day."
Whether you have a short film you would like professionally edited, need a sizzle reel to show off your directorial skills, want to edit together video and pictures from your event, or need your acting videos edited down to show off your skills - I can help you with editing your videos to make an immediate and strong impact.
Some basic advice - primarily you should wear what you'd wear to meet with a good client. That could be different in some industries than other and you want to appear the way you'll appear in person. If you are in a more casual line of work, then wear that level in your profile photos.
In my own head shots I've worn a dress shirt with rolled up sleeves, shirt and jacket, shirt tie and jacket, and in my current image a long sleeved dark shirt (and hat).I do recommend: Solid colours rather than patters, (big) stripes, flowers or graphics. The attention should be on your face not on the choice of clothing that can date a photo incredibly quickly.

I recently hired Neil to do photo and video work for me. I found that he has a friendly and easygoing style, and was a pleasure to work with. The resulting head shots and full portrait photos look great! Neil also produced several videos for my website and Youtube channel, and I am very pleased with the finished product.

I had yesterday a photo session with Neil - he did excellent head-shot photos for me - both, formal and informal (you should see the informal head-shot in my google profile now).
Very friendly, easy-going, and professional, it was pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend him.

I can't say more about the professionalism that Neil showed us. I not only had him look after my business photography, but also our family photos. It took an entire afternoon to get all the photos, and during the entire time Neil was very fun and interactive to ensure that we got the photos we were looking to achieve.
The business side had to shown as very professional, and our family photos we wanted to be fun and not the ordinary stand beside each other type, Neil was fantastic at achieving both of these goals.
I would highly recommend Neil for any type of photography which you need, I know

I love Alberta Portrait!! The best photography studio I have ever used! I will never go anywhere else. Not only were all the photos absolutely breathtaking, they treated me like I was family. I was so comfortable with everyone, that it really made a difference in the images. If I could tell you anything, it would be "Go to Alberta Portrait Studio!"
