Andrew Halpin B.Sc., D.D.S. welcomes you to his general family dentistry practice in the Clayton Park West area of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Halpin is a dentist who runs a patient-centered family dental practice. We function as the primary source of dental care for all members of a family beginning around age one. We place emphasis on preventive dental services to preserve your dental health and prevent or delay the start of new dental disease.
Services
Dr. Halpin's goal is to provide healthy gums and teeth, rendering a brighter and more youthful smile. The following photographs are original, untouched photographs of actual work done by Dr. Halpin. This patient was a male in his late twenties who presented with rampant decay. Dr. Halpin restored his teeth with white fillings, veneers and crowns which provided the patient with a great new and beautiful smile.
Dentists use the term "diastema" to refer to any space (gap) that lies between two teeth. From a standpoint of function and dental health, these types of gap-toothed situations do not pose a problem. In regards to cosmetic appearances, however, some people find them unappealing. Tooth bonding provides one way a dentist can "close" (fill in) a diastema.
We are up on the 3rd floor of the building and have elevator access for your convenience. Our new location is only 2km from our old location and still provides ample free parking in the carport under our raised building. Patients have a lovely view of the Bedford Basin and the MacKay Bridge while getting their dental work done.
Brushing and flossing help control the plaque and bacteria that causes dental disease. Plaque is a film of food debris, bacteria, and saliva that sticks to the teeth and gums. The bacteria in plaque convert certain food particles into acids that cause tooth decay. Also, if plaque is not removed, it turns into calculus (tartar).

I highly recommend this place! Amazing staff and this place is clean, tidy and it has a great welcome atmosphere. The dentist knew what he was doing and I experience zero pain throughout the procedure as well as a smooth healing process. For a person who was effing about seeing a dentist in the first place, I recommend this place!

My 8 year old has severe anxiety, OCD, and SPD. Our family has been with Bridgeview for 3 years, but this was her first appointment at Bridgeview, and only her second dentist appointment in her entire life! Molly the hygienist was incredible, talking her through everything she was going to do, as well as talking through her progress so my daughter… knew what to expect every step of the way and had an idea of how long each step would last. Molly paused frequently to check in with Her and see if she needed any breaks. She let her feel the air, water, and polisher on her hand before she put

Second time I have had dental work done at Bridgeview Dental and on both occasions the professionalism and care demonstrated by the staff and doctor Halpin has been excellent. Always a friendly atmosphere, and at present they are also being careful with restrictions because of COVID. I would highly recommend Bridgeview Dental.

I am someone who didn't go to the dentist for around 20 years, 5 years ago I came across Bridge-view dental out of necessity (getting married and my teeth were in horrible shape) The staff and dentists on site were extremely helpful, pleasant and accommodating. a number of times I have had to move my appointments pretty close to last minute or my bridge would have an issue and on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend they were still willing to help me and have my bridge fixed! I can't say how much i appreciate this dentist office and team, they treat me like family and I think of them in much

I initially visited Bridgeview with a friend 6 years ago when she had wisdom teeth removed. I didn’t have a dentist in the city at the time but she had such a good experience that I made an appointment myself. They have helped with decay issues due to mouth breathing from allergies, and are always compassionate/patient when I visit. I travel a half hour just because they make visits a breeze!

The polite and friendly staff got me in (as a brand new patient) since I had broken a filling the night prior. The office is clean and bright. The view I had in my examination room was incredible. My dentist and her assistant were both lovely. All of this, 2 blocks away from where I live. Happy to say, I have a new regular dentist for all my needs...Bridgeview Dental!

I avoid dentists like the plague after a bad experience as a child, but Bridgeview was recommended to me by a trusted friend. I called and was able to get an appointment the very next day! From the second I walked in, it felt warm and inviting. The staff are friendly, my hygienist AMAZING. She talked non stop, which kept me distracted and made my cleaning go fast! (Pier Anne). My dentist, Dr Ryan, was easy going and patient. They explained everything that needed to be done, and what they were doing along the way. I have since referred friend, who had an equally positive experience. I highly recommend

For many years I avoided going to the dentist because of a very bad experience I had when I was very young. Finally in 2007 I decided I needed to go; not just for a cleaning but I knew I needed a good checkup. Melissa and Dr. Halpin patiently listened to my concerns. I'm a big 40 year old baby when it comes to dentists and I explained my fears and… nervousness. I'm happy to say I'm a long term patient and have been going on a regular basis since then. The new offices on the Bedford Highway are great and any staff I've been in contact with have been exceptional. Several years ago it was suggested

Louise Michalos I was fitted with a "snoring" ( or rather a "stop" snoring) appliance in January of this year. It has worked very well , as my husband will tell you. It doesn't silence the snoring but it has reduced it to a soft "purr" :) My snoring had often caused me to wake up , especially when lying on my back because the tongue ,of course, … falls to the back of the throat and I would wake up startled. The appliance prevents the tongue from falling back into the throat and so this no longer happens. Most people think of snoring as a guy thing , but I expect there are a few more gals
