For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel. When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off!
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven. By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.
Orthodontic treatment is no longer just for teens. In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists states that one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 21. Many adults are choosing to receive treatment because they understand the importance of maintaining their health, and they want to feel better about their appearance.

I see a ton of comments about the orthodontist being rude, which I am in no denial of, this individual was both rude to me and my father who accompanied me on most of my appointments. What prompted me to write this review was the sloppy quality of work. First, my father had pointed out that the bottom teeth were not fully straight and not only did Dr. Gurza brush off the comment, he proceeded to give my father a ton of attitude and responded in a very unprofessional manner, as he (I assume) felt that it was a personal attack/challenge. Second, the orthodontist suggested that I went with the more

Had a free of charge consultation with the doctor. Was told the quote for invisalign, and it was much more than expected. When I told him we had to discuss it some more because of finances, he very rudely told us that we were wasting his time, and told his staff to close the file. Later got a call from the staff asking me if I wanted to proceed. Extremely unprofessional and condescensing.

My son has been going to the Brace Place for around 18mths and he could not have had better service!!! The staff are ncredible and Dr Gurza has kept us informed at every stage. He provided a detailed treatment plan with various options and let us know that teeth extraction and/or shaving might be needed - in the end neither of those were necessary, my son is almost finished his treatment and his teeth look amazing! My youngest has just started his treatment and, at 9 years old, was reluctant to have retainers. Dr Gurza gave us 3 options - leave things as they are, delay treatment or start treatment

Dr. Gurza is good in his job but he is terribly rude. Treating patients like trash if he doesn't like them. I don't know who the heck he think he is, there are million other dentists why give money to such a person.

My niece had her braces done at the Scarborough office. The two ladies who work there are really helpful and pleasant and very knowledgeable when I asked questions. They also gave very helpful information regarding maintenance of ones mouth and braces to have a positive outcome for all concerned (videos were also used to educate). Dr. Gurza was informative and helpful during the process and at this time all has gone well so far so I have no complaints as we followed the instructions given regarding upkeep of the braces and gums during the process. I would recommend this office to my family and

Dr.Gurza was down right rude. When you go there before starting the treatment with them, he'll talk to you in a nice and welcoming way; though as soon as you start going regularly for your appointments, he shows his true face. When we had questions about the treatment, we were told that if we had more than 2 questions, we would have to pay a consultation fee. DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR BRACES! After half the treatment was done, he would threaten to stop the treatment and that he won't be responsible for it anymore. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!

First of all, they provide rewards if you leave a good review as they have told me. So beware of the potentially false reviews.
Where do I start at this place?
I came here when I was very young, so I had no idea of the process of getting braces or ethical business practices. My parents do not know how things work, and thinking back, I think this place was not very informative towards my parents due to them being limited in English and providing us with English videos on how it worked. There was a worker who spoke mandarin, but how far can a single front desk worker inform you when you have many
