Our dental practice in Kitchener is conveniently located in the Krug Street Plaza, behind Scotia Bank, with the entrance facing Sherwood Avenue. We offer specialist dental root canal (endodontic) therapy and endodontic micro-surgical procedures in Kitchener. Dr. Joshua Ananthan was born and raised in Toronto where he returned to practice Endodontics. He graduated dental school from the University of Toronto and then moved to the West coast where he practiced as a general dentist and completed his specialty training in Endodontics at the University of British Columbia.
Another common term for composite restoration is filling. Dentists use composite restorative materials to repair teeth which have been compromised due to cavities or other trauma (like worn out, chipped or fractured teeth). The composite restorations are usually done in one appointment. Under local anesthesia the decayed or affected portion of the tooth is removed and then filled with a composite filling matching your tooth colour.
A crown is a restoration that covers, or "caps", a tooth to restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of the tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is cracked or is so broken down that there isn't enough of the tooth remaining to provide support for large fillings.

It is where my father goes for his dentist appointments... after he was done, he told me the doctor is good, she doesn't make my mouth bleed like the one before... I remember just sitting in the waiting room, I could just hear the doctor laughing because I guess is that my father was being the funny guy he is... I would say this place is good if you would like to try it...

Great place. Staff are very caring and warm. The dentist always takes the time to explain things and you can ask questions. I have been coming for years now. Everyone tends to give advice but you always feel like they have your best interest in mind. They really work with your insurance company to get the most out of your coverage and if there are any gaps they can help set up payments that aren't going to burden you. Makes going to the dentist a lot less stressful.

Dr Patel is wonderful, skillful, talented.She spent time explaining what was going to happen, took the time to make sure I was comfortable... I have had a lot of work done by others dentists, never had a good experience with the others denists,but with Dr Patel and her staff was the best experience . I am a long standing client. As a child and younger adult I was a patient of Dr. Monheit. He sold his practice to the Sherwood Dental team and I've never considered looking elsewhere. The Sherwoood Team takes the time to connect and get to know their patients. The reception team is friendly and it is always a pleasure talking with them and Alex. They take great care of us and work with us for payment through our benefits providers. My husband switched from his dentist in Stratford to Sherwood in the past 4 years or so and has been well taken care of.

De Patel is amazing! By far the very best dentist I have ever seen. She is extremely knowledgeable and instantly puts you at ease. I have had a tremendous amount of dental work done prior to seeing her and had very little faith left in any dentist. I highly recommend seeing her. Alex & the staff are great as well. Very welcoming, friendly and super accommodating. I couldn't be happier!

They are all wonderful! The staff is very helpful and make you feel comfortable. The dentists are gentle and caring.

Love this place. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Both me and my daughter go there and my daughter loves it as well. She is only 6 but, thanks to the doctors' experience and their attitude, she enjoys going there, in comparison to other dental offices. I can't believe how she is looking forward to her next dental cleaning and check up!!! Would highly recommend.
