Dr. Leigh Ann, as she is known by most of her clients, was born and raised in Sydney, Cape Breton. Her love of animals developed at an early age, and she was volunteering at the local veterinary hospital by the age of 12. She knew at a very young age she wanted to be a veterinarian.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 1990, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantice Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in 1994.After a brief stint working on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Dr. Leigh Ann moved to Richibucto in the spring of 1995, and established Kent County Veterinary Hospital.

We see patients by booked appointment to cut down on waiting time. However, emergency cases do take top priority therefore, sometimes resulting in appointment delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible. Your appointment starts by getting your pet weighed, followed by entering an available exam room where a technician will gather history and write down questions you have for the Doctor.
Kent County Veterinary Hospital, located in Richibucto New Brunswick, has been serving Kent County since 1995. Our mission is to provide exceptional care to out patients and to make sure our clients feel comfortable and involved with their pets' health. Recently, in 2012, we opened a satellite clinic in Bouctouche to better serve our clients from that area.
Help us keep your pet healthy by bringing him or her in for regular exams and vaccinations. Dogs and cats (and other pets) age far faster than people, so significant changes in your pet's health can happen in a short time. Wellness programs allow us to diagnose diseases and conditions early, when they're easier to treat or manage.
