Based on reviews and a minor past experience (information gathering), I reached out to Mike (Mortgage Teacher) when considering the purchase of a condo out of town. The residence was on a resort property up North and because of the many specific rules, regs, by-laws etc. he suggested I deal directly with a local institution (which makes perfect sense, but something I hadn't considered).
