We believe great food is one part intuition combined with a healthy dollop of experience and a dash of spontaneity. Founded in 2003 by food philosopher and farm-to-table advocate Donna Wadsworth, Savoury City Catering specializes in custom catering services for weddings, corporate engagements, and social occasions of all styles and sizes.
Offering an elevated take on a traditional Thanksgiving spread, our complete holiday meal packages feature an array of chef-prepared fall favourites that reflect the delicious bounty of the harvest season. Take-home Thanksgiving feasts include a 10 lb. Home delivery in the Vancouver area can be arranged for an additional fee by calling Savoury City directly at 604-875-8484.

I was looking for a caterer to provide appies for a cocktail party. Now it was a small group and a Saturday in June, wedding month. Everyone I contacted neglected to call me back. Night phone calls nor emails worked. Then I met Chris from Lavish Liquid and he introduced me to Joey at Savoury City. Can't say enough good things about Savoury City!
Our plans were for an outdoor birthday celebration sit-down lunch for 20 people mid August. Instead of brilliant sunshine, it turned out to be one of the wettest days of the summer.
Eli did a brilliant job pre-planning everything for a wonderful garden party but the forecast for the actual day was heavy rains. Not phased one bit, during the morning of the garden party, a large white tent was suddenly erected, a long table beautifully decorated with greenery & flowers, & the buffet moved to a covered area. Great job Eli!

Our coop is having a mortgage burning party this summer and a lot of the coop members want to splurge and have a catered event rather than a potluck. I sent these guys an e-mail to get a quote on March 16th and a week later received a very detailed and tailored quote following a conversation on the phone with Ashley.
I've been in constant contact with Ashley throughout this whole quote process. Sadly this isn't my money to play with. I have been delegated a budget on behalf of the event coordinator, therefore, it's their dollars and specifications I have to take into considering

I used Savoury City for a Xmas luncheon at work, and they were awesome! The website was easy to follow, Christine called me and worked out the menu with me, and the food was absolutely delicious! Savoury City did an incredible job at catering our west-coast inspired wedding! They were excellent at listening to the vision we had for our wedding menu, patient when we made changes, and went beyond our expectations for the final product on the wedding day. Not only were we in awe of how delicious the food was, but our wedding guests gave us a lot of feedback on how impressed they were. I have ordered catering with Savoury City twice for work events and was very impressed with the quality and selection of their food as well as their service. One of the events required sandwiches and desserts for a large lunch meeting. I appreciated how each sandwich and wrap was individually labelled, making it easy for guests to make their selection, and I heard a lot of positive feedback about the variety they received. Everything was delicious.

I found savoury city through a yelp review when shopping around for a caterer for my wedding. I was looking for a caterer who would be okay with dropping off an order and did not require staff to be there as I was planning to have a low budget, easy going wedding reception. The reason I went with these guys though was because of their customer service, hands down. I spoke with Susan who did an incredible job helping me pick out suitable menu items with the budget I gave her and genuinely cared if people were going to get enough to eat. I am so surprised I am the first one to write the review on this business. Had Savoury City Catering prepared my Engagement party, it turned out amazing. I ordered about 7 or 8 items for a cocktail style party, all the food items came in nice porcelain trays. Had the smoke salmon bisque, lobster bisque, chicken satay, roast beef, tuna and etc. Almost all of my friends complimented on the taste of presentation of the dishes, they sure looked amazing. I took off 1 star mainly because I was NOT able to order HOT items since my order was to be delivered at 5pm (their last delivery) and my party

I have dealt with Savoury City on two separate catering occasions now and I have to say, I am very pleased with their service. They offer local food products (which I love) and sustainable solutions, which is such an added bonus. They deliver on time, all the necessities are available...and they always have a smile on their faces! Their customer service is amazing when additions need to be added last minute etc., they are eager to help with everything. I fully recommend this company for catering needs, in a corporate environment, lots of great feedback from my clients/employees!

The staff I communicated with (phone, email and delivery) were all super friendly and responsive. Before deciding on Savoury City, I looked at several other catering companies. Their menus were much less inspired and usually required that we order several of the same sandwiches, which wasn't going to work for our team.

As I'm writing this review, I'm chomping down on the crispy sweet and sour side salad that came with our spicy Thai curry beef on coconut rice.
