I have absolutely loved my experience with acupuncture and low light laser therapy! Great staff, the ladies at the front desk are very nice and have been so understanding when I had to cancel appointments when my dog was sick. Allison has been my acupuncturist and she has been nothing short of amazing! She truly cares so much, listens, is understanding and gives great advice. I was incredibly disappointed with Acubalance and their exorbitant costs. I am not a fan of acupuncture in general, but was doing it at the recommendation of my doctor. When I am told that a session will last a certain amount of minutes, I expect that the professional treating me will return at that time. Instead I was left there and told that was the nature of a "busy day." For $100/hr I expect the acupuncturist to return when they say they will. I was thoroughly disappointed with my experience at Acubalance. Dr. Lorne Brown treated me and had terrible bedside manner (pushy and aggressive) and was the classic "mansplainer". My first appointment there he sat me in a chair, pulled up very close to me and after a short discussion said "well let me tell you about the birds and the bees". I had to do a double take as it sounded like he was talking to a 5 year old child. I am a highly educated woman with a solid career and regardless of that it is beyond condescending to speak to a grown woman that way. He then proceeded later in the conversation

I started acupuncture and laser at acubalance with DR. RYAN FUNK who basically was like my coach during my second cycle of IVF. He helped me enormously with ways to manage my stress, diet, and exercise, and thanks to him also I was feeling mentally stronger. I suffered Frozen shoulder for months and I was getting frustrated since I couldn't do my usual activity anymore. I had physiotherapy treatments and my condition seemed to improve although I still feel pain at the end of my shoulder range of motion. Leaders in so many areas. I trust their professional attention to what's happening now and not only the centuries of experience in Chinese medicine. I have a personal 30 year history of using prevention rather than suppressing symptoms and I like that acubalance is totally aware of the 'science' and advancement in both Traditional and Western medicine. The whole reason I use alternative medicine is to avoid the side effects and misdiagnosis that can happen in our busy medical system.

I popped into Acubalance while on a visit from California and I was quite impressed with the level of care that the acupuncturists provide. Everyone I met was quite knowledgeable and have a lot of care for their patients. The office staff was courteous and efficient. All in all a great experience!

Went to Acubalance this afternoon. Complaint? Frozen shoulder and back. Cause? Exercising, mainly running. After just two treatments with acupuncture and cupping the improvement is amazing. So they don't just help you get preggers. They also help you heal your body. Thank you so much !

Wow, I'm really surprised that the reviews are so low for Acubalance. I'm pretty sure I saw that they got best acupuncturist in the 2014 Straight's Best of Vancouver. Hmm, don't know what's that about, but this review is based on my own experiences.

Recently a friend suggested me try Acubalance for fertility. I tried but it didn't work at all!!!

At Acubalance the doctor COULDN'T even explain to me what my diagnosis means...The acupuncture treatment was relaxing but it didn't seem to make me feel very much difference. I called to have a service with dietitian. The lady spoke over the phone books me for a consultation. When I go in, it was a woman practitioner for acupuncture and when I asked about dietitian, she says she will give me a info but she wanted to give me a acupuncture treatment. The consultation cost me $135 for something I didn't even want to. Only if they referred me to a dietitian, I didn't have to waste my time and $$ for something I didn't event want in the first place.... Also even without talking much about my health issues, the practitioner wanted to start "treatment"

Acubalance is a small, clean, relaxing clinic in a pretty standard medical building. As you enter the door, you'll quickly realize they're all about making babies- there are books everywhere about getting pregnant and pre-natal care. The receptionists are kind and fun(ny). This clinic works with one of the local IVF clinics, so they're really into supporting that process.

About the service, I'm a little dubious, as the first recommendation was to cleanse- but to do it with using a product they sell. (Why not cleanse by just eliminating things from your diet, you might ask
