Services
In our clinic we use recliner chairs in a large, quiet, and soothing space. Treating patients in a supportive group setting at sliding scale rates has many benefits: it is easy for friends and family members to come in for treatment together; many patients find it comforting; a collective energetic field becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful; the sliding scale makes it easier for us to treat you more often.
We charge $25-45 per treatment with an additional $10 admin fee for your first visit only. You pay what you can afford. No questions asked. We are committed to providing as affordable and accessible acupuncture as possible. Having said that, we have had to change numerous aspects of our business due to the current pandemic.
Our team is made up of fantastic registered acupuncturists and friendly, dedicated volunteer receptionists! We all work together to make acupuncture more accessible to those in need and to create a safe space where healing flows easily. As a business and as people who live in the Greater Vancouver region, we acknowledge that we are located on the traditional unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh people.

Poke is a welcoming space with practitioners who listen. I have found the services helpful for both pain and stress management, and the open/tranquil space allows me to feel safe. The affordable rates also make it accessible to many who couldn't otherwise receive treatment. I love this dedication to service and community.

Thought I had a life changing shoulder injury and was super rattled about not being able to work so I went into Poke for a couple sessions to hopefully reduce the long road of rehab.. But Lana cast her magic for two sesh and by the next week I was back to work with mostly full mobility and motion range! I'm super stoked and grateful! I'll definitely go back for my next injuries!! Yeaaaaaaaah

I have been going here for maybe 2.5 years? I go at least once a week, it's so affordable and accessible for quality care and treatment. All the therapists are great, I've particularly loved working with Darcy and Jill in the past. I like that they take the time to check in and support the healing needs for the day. Beautiful minimalist space with nice ambience- salt lamps, artwork, soothing music. I never feel rushed ! Many thanks to everyone who had kept Poke going and created the culture of what it is.

My heartfelt thanks to Poke Community Acupuncture for saving me from a terrible pain due to back spasms. Pain killers were not helping and the pain would not subside, was not able to move, sit in the car or lift a water bottle. I was very skeptical at first, but just one session at this place instantly brought much needed relief. Walking out after the session, I could not believe I even had any back pain at all. It was an unbelievable transformation and it has stayed that way since. More often than not, the pain is not in the muscles at all, it seems to be in the neural wiring and Poke Community

Poke was the original community acupuncture! Love that they helped find a way for so many people to be able to get treatments more often in a quiet space healing alongside others. I’ve found the staff great, especially Darcy. I bring earplugs and find that helps with any distractions of being in there at a busy time. Go! You won’t regret it.

Poke community acupuncture is one of those amazing gems of a place you only come across once in awhile, and I encourage you not to miss out on it.
Beautiful, clean, homey space. I immediately feel at ease when I enter it. Amazing, skilled acupuncurists that truly care about what they do, and who truly care about you.
This is a sliding scale payment system, min. $20, max. $40. Pay what you can, get poked, and stay as long as your heart desires (within reason, of course). What these guys and gals are doing is truly an amazing, inspiring, and beautiful thing. I go to Poke to treat recurring neck

Great resource - there are 7 - 8 comfy recliners where you can lay back, get your treatment and nap as long as you want. Very peaceful and supportive atmosphere, and a cost that can't be beat! Although sound is kept to a minimum (they will answer your call in a whisper) you may want to use earplugs if you are highly sensitive to noise and really hope to sleep for a while. Later addition: in common with other community acupuncture places, they will not directly treat the area of your body that hurts. That is called “working locally“, and if that is what you want you have to interview an acupuncturist

Darcy and Julia are amazing practitioners who care deeply for their clients' health. They were able to work with me so that I could receive the treatment I needed at a cost I could afford. They have been indispensable to me as I have been tapering off my SSRI and dealing with extreme anxiety and "brain zaps", which had been sending me to the ER due to intensity before I started treatment at Poke. They also helped me manage my asthma during the prolonged period of wildfire haze this summer.
The treatment space itself is very relaxing and pleasant. The volunteer admin staff are friendly and professional
