1st time dining in at Restaurant Soya.
The restaurant is well kept.
Great selection for Asian dishes, dinning experience and ambiance.☆☆☆
Wonderful presentation of each meal.
Tried their General Tao. It's the determining factor if I wished to return.
Well it is 'one of' the best I've tried.☆
I'll be sure to return.
The customer service was excellent.☆

Had teriyaki surf and turf today. Was only average. Not much taste. But usually a good place. Still give 4 star for total experience.

OMG! OMG! This is the best teriyaki tofu dish I've ever had. I went there yesterday for the first time. From out side, my first impression was "where the heck is my friend taking me" but once inside, it was a jaw-dropping experience. The staff, the decor, the Zen ambiance, it was just beautiful. I will definitely make this one of my favorite places to eat.

Pros
-Good Parking
-Clean restaurant

Cons
-Bad service
-High price for what was served $$$
-Unhelpful waiters
-French Menu only. No english menu.

Let us start with the few positives this place has. There is plenty of space for parking, restaurant looks nice and clean, and dishes look nice.

The negatives now. We came in and we were not immediately helped. It takes way too long to get the waiter's attention. There was one short haired male waiter who paid a bit of attention to us. The whole menu was in French with no translation under. The waiters did not bother giving us recommendations

Definitely very good Thai food but it's not the best I've ever eaten. It's affordable, BYOW and the portions are very generous. Service was a 10/10. I recommend that you save room for dessert because they were simply delicious! (get the Xango cake or fried bananas)

Great Asian fare at a fair price and byow is a definite plus! Portions are insane. Try their general Tao ying yang.

Prices seem steep at first glance. When you finally get your place you understand that your getting your money's worth. The plates are very generous, everything I tasted was good. I ordered the General Tao, as I always do and was delighted. My wife ordered some kind of nest. It was a little salty. My friend ordered the duck and he really enjoyed it. The plate arrived steaming hot. The decor is nice, but you really feel like you're in a strip mall resto. Otherwise we really enjoyed our experience.

The service is always great, plus it's quite affordable and BYOB. The food is fresh and the presentation of the dishes is nice.
I wish they had vegetarian or vegan options though. The server told me that all of their meals contain either fish or oyster sauce. Nevertheless, they concocted a meal for me that simply contained soy sauce, so I was fed.

Nice, clean, tastefully decorated. Very good, fresh, decently priced food. Menu for all tastes. Bring your own wine. Good for quick lunch as well as sit-down, have a glass of wine meal.

Nice atmosphere and great service, however did not enjoy the food. Appetizer portions are tiny and main the quality of the main meal seemed far from authentic. My teriyaki was drenched in sauce, loosing any other flavours in the dish. My friend took general tao and we struggled to find the chicken.

Came here for another work luncheon. Ambiance and decor has not changed in this place since my first review.

For my lunch I had the Nid poulet (chicken with crunchy fried noodles + vegetables). Flavour quality and taste was very good and they do this dish just as I have eaten here on other occasions.

I would claim that lunch is the best value (compared to eating dinner) here. Just my nid (I drank the table water) with tax and tip was a tad north of $16 (just me). Good value for a decent lunch that will fill you up!

A good quality in a restaurant is consistency and Soya doesn't

One of our favorite restaurants in Laval. From the outside it's not very welcoming but when you get inside, the decor, lighting, and asian atmosphere is simply wonderful. On our latest visit we tried the teriyaki terre et mer and I would recommend this dish to everyone. Their vegetables were very fresh and the service is impeccable, servers always had a smile on their face. According to our waiter, Korean Food will be available starting next week. Can't wait to try that out. I've tried looking for a Korean Restaurant here in Laval and there's none so I think they'll be

Pros :

- Friendly waiter service, water refills came regularly.

- Food was prompt, no waiting.

- Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Romantic options are possible.

- The imperial rolls were fantastic.

Cons :

- Waiter kind of strongly recommended to choose specific meals and didn't bother to ask if we wanted something to drink beyond water.

- I ordered the General Tao which was rather oddly crunchy (felt overdone) and more than mild tasting. Simply not the best General Tao I ate. My significant other felt her Basil Beef was uninspiring as well and drenched with sauce.

- Prices a little

Good restaurant , parking is kind of a pain to get there (too crowded because of the near by gym) but the food is worth it. I find it a little pricy for a vietnamese/chinese/asian restaurant but everything they serve is really fresh and tasty.
Good first date restaurant !

Everything was perfect as usual. The decor, the music, the staff, the dimmed lighting, and if course the food! Don't miss the fried ice cream dessert!
