What is Acupuncture? The practice of acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It has a history of at least 2,500 years of successfully diagnosing, treating and preventing illness. Acupuncture involves inserting very fine, sterile, disposable (one time use) needles into specific points to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal.
A typical treatment plan involves 5-20 treatments and depends on the severity of the condition and how long the patient has had the pain. Minimum bi-weekly treatments are recommended for the first 2 weeks, followed by less frequent treatments when the pain begins to subside. Acute pain typically resolves more quickly than chronic pain cases.
If you're tired of sneezing, a runny nose with watery phlegm, drowsiness and fatigue, it's time to reconsider your current allergy treatment. While most traditional approaches to treating allergies is based on avoiding common allergens like pollen, grass, dust mites and animal dander, it's not always an option.
Taking care of your skin is not just for beauty- it's your health as well. Your skin says more about your health than you might think. Stress, lack of sleep and even health issues can impact the way your skin looks and feels. If you're experiencing skin problems or simply want to maintain your healthy glow, acupuncture can restore and re-energize your skin.
Many couples dealing with infertility issues have turned to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), in hopes that it will result in a pregnancy. Acupuncture treatments can be used along with reproductive technologies, such as IVF, IUI and ICSI, to boost the chances of a successful conception. When combining reproductive technologies with fertility acupuncture, my clients have experienced impressive results in getting pregnant!
