Orthodontists are dental specialists who diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities. They receive an additional two to three years of specialized education beyond dental school to learn the proper way to align and straighten teeth.
The AAO recommends that your child get an orthodontic check-up no later than age 7. By this age, orthodontists can spot subtle problems with jaw growth and emerging teeth while some baby teeth are still present. That's important, because some orthodontic problems may be easier to correct if they're found early.

A pleasing smile can be a big plus for you on life's journey. It engages others and shares warmth. Orthodontics can help bring out the best in you. By applying the science of gently moving teeth, an orthodontist can help to eliminate gaps between your teeth, straighten crooked teeth and correct other problems that can be distracting when you're interacting with others.
Successful orthodontic treatment and a healthy, beautiful smile is the result of a team effort involving you, your orthodontist and your family dentist. You, as the patient, play the key role. Most importantly, you must keep your teeth clean and maintain good dental hygiene between appointments and while you're wearing braces.
True orthodontic emergencies are very rare. However, minor problems like loose brackets are more common. The number of breakages will be significantly reduced if you follow the advice of avoiding biting into hard or sticky foods. Please call our office at (905) 884-4161 as soon as you are aware of any broken or loose appliances, even if you have a regular appointment scheduled.

February 21, 2018, I went in there to have my lower retainer repaired that my dental hygienist pulled out my wire while flossing my teeth, my dentist advised to to go to my orthodontist to get it repaired and they would cover the cost. Dr Parker and his hygienist agreed that the wire and bounding needs to be replaced, while explaining to Dr Parker that my dentist will be picking up the bill for this, he stopped and said "well I need confirmation", I called immediately and they both talked on the phone and now he changed his recommendation, he is now saying he wants to take everything out and that

I have no idea how the dentist are like there, but I know I will NEVER go
