Parkland Players
Building one piece of information upon another through scaffolding creates a solid foundation for additional learning. Parkland Players was established in 1995 to fill a community need for quality daycare and education. Our child care centers have been founded on the philosophy that children, their families, and the community benefit from high-quality Early Childhood Programs.

We strive to allow each child to openly explore their individual interests through a variety of programs. Parkland Players prides itself in being one of the earliest Daycares to provide Reggio-inspired approaches in the Tri-cities, and is also unique in being a part of a school that offers the same approach to education, Meadowbrook Elementary School.

Shohreh has been in childcare for nearly forty years and her reason for entering the field is quite simple: she loves kids. She thinks all the different age groups have something special to offer the world, the environment, each other, and educators. Her favourite age group to work with is Infants.
The programs that are provided by Parkland Players consist of carefully selected activities which directly assist to develop the children's emotional, social and physical skills. Parkland Players recognizes that emotional development and social skills are essential for school readiness. As a result, the programs provide activities which involve learning through interaction, and playing with other children.

My daughter (age 2.5 when she started) began preschool here last year and she loves it. She can be a bit on the strong-willed side but the teachers have won her over and she enjoys interacting in a positive way with them and with her classmates.
The use of the HiMama app is especially great because we can see photos of what the school day is like and the various activities she gets up to. It really helps when talking about her day and we can talk about what she enjoyed doing.
One thing I really like is the focus on learning some writing skills even at this young age. She has really come along

We love Parkland Players! My son has been in the I/T program since August 2020. As a first time mom it was difficult at first to wrap my mind around leaving my baby in the care of others, but the entire staff at the Regan Avenue location made me feel so comfortable and the process was seamless. My boy loves his teachers and its obvious to us that they genuinely care about him and the other children. Having peace of mind is truly priceless. Thank you Parkland Players for giving this to our family.

Having had 2 children at Parkland Players since their early preschool years, and now in Out of School Care, I have had years of interactions with their preschool and out of school care programs. My children have been safely looked after and loved for years. I feel very comfortable leaving my children in their care. The administration works tirelessly to create engaging and exciting activities for the children at their centre. I feel confident recommending Parkland Players as a great choice for your child care needs.

My son had a bad experienced from his previous day care. Since then, deciding on the right daycare was a huge decision for us.From the moment I walked into Parkland Players Daycare, I knew this was the right place for our son. We can go to work with full confidence that our son is in a caring, safe and educational environment. Also, we love the "Hi Mama "app provided by school. We can see our son's daily activity with pictures and videos while we are working. We have seen a positive change in his development.
Thank you to all Parkland player teacher( esp. to teachers: Amy, Afsi and Nedal) for

Last weekend we went over there for the open house and I loved it! It's clean, cozy, well organized, I met one of the teachers and it looks a really great place. Hopefully until the end of this year my little one can get a spot over there.

Great teachers and a very welcoming environment. Both of my children have attended this Daycare/Preschool and have felt very comfortable while also meeting some great friends along the way. My daughter who is know in Kindergarten still raves about Ms. Nidhal and Ms. Papa. We feel very fortunate that our children have also been able to receive preschool and daycare under the same roof.

My son has been going to this daycare under the infant and toddler program since Aug 2019. We love this daycare. My son took a while to adjust to it(3 months) but the teachers were so caring, loving and patient and never gave up on him. The daycare provides a nurturing and safe environment for my son and I feel confident leaving him there everyday while going to work. They use himama app to post pictures and videos of day to day activities and this way I know what he has been doing.
The teachers are so wonderful there, we really appreciate their patience, attitude, care and love they shower towards

My son started attending Out of School care at Parkland Players during his Grade One year in September of last year. We have always been impressed by the care that our son receives at Parkland Players. They always make sure the kids are well supervised with plenty of outside time, and less focus on screen time and electronics. They are also very proactive with each child and knowing their individual needs.

I went to this daycare from kindergarten to grade 5 every single second i wanted to tear my eyes out, i was so bored. The employees there don't care about you past grade 2 and in fact make you do chores like sweeping the floor or being force to tend to the garden (now you know why the garden looks so bad) they provide no entertainment whatsoever so it is extremely boring and the employees only yell and get mad at the kids and don't even get me started on the summer camp they take you on horrible field trips and make you wear a non breathable uncomfertableI would highly advise not putting your kid

A really great daycare for children 0 -5 years old. I have 2 children that go to this daycare, and they have both really excelled since starting. The teachers are very loving and treat all the children as their own.
The preschool portion is great as well. My child is already learning to read and write at 3.5 years old.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for daycare/preschool or before and after school care.
