I was born in Halifax West Yorkshire in the U.K. My family moved to the Central Okanagan when I was 12. I think this gives me a very interesting take on music. I was always the one at our parties controlling the music to make sure it kept going. That's when I got into the world being a DJ. Now after starting at small house parties I've moved onto weddings and events!
While there are many people involved in making your wedding day a success, most function independently of each other. Except of course, for your DJ. Your DJ works side by side with (or in lieu of) your wedding planner in order to help bring all the crucial elements of your wedding together in a seamless fashion.
Corporate events are no longer a dreaded company party, where everyone sits around. Companies are encouraging their employees to socialize, mix-and-mingle, and integrate themselves into the spirit of the company. There's nothing we enjoy more than being a part of turning the mundane, into an event to remember, with a high-energy everyone soaks in.

John provided DJ serviced for a wedding ceremony/ reception I worked and attended recently. John arrived on time and prepared. Big equipment set up! MC services were needed and John had no problem stepping in. Throughout the night dancing , I kept saying "I love this song!!" He definitely knew how to read the crowd! Thanks Instant DJ!

John was excellent for our wedding. He had the dance floor packed the entire evening and played our songs we had on the "must play" list and avoided the songs we had on the "do not play" list. John managed two locations where he had to be plugged in and executed preparation without issue. He was patient with guests music requests and accommodating as need be.

John Bird at Instant DJ provided the DJ services for my wedding, and I cannot say enough about his kindness, skill and professionalism. John made sure the music was seamless for the ceremony and the sound for the vows was perfect. John came fully prepared and was highly organized. The dinner music was lovely, and the dance party was the most fun ever! John is very good at reading the crowd, and clearly loves to make people feel good through music. John is an artist and I would highly recommend his services for any event.

We just had John out for our wedding on Aug. 12, and he was awesome. The quality of DJ was great, he had everyone up and dancing when needed and took care of the details for the slide show and speeches. We didn't have to worry about it once. What was very impressive was everything around the event, setting up at the ceremony, helping with the generator, cuing songs, communication. We would use this company again in the future for sure!
