He graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1989 and was called to the Newfoundland Bar in 1990. Prior to entering law school, Jack was an Inspector in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and held key operational roles in various Provinces and Territories. After a long and distinguished policing career, he decided to pursue the practice of law.
The focus of Jack's legal practice is civil litigation. He is particularly active in Aboriginal law, civil and human rights, employment and personal injury law. As plaintiff's counsel, he is very involved in child abuse and the Indian Residential School litigation in Western and Northern Canada.

Services
Jack has extensive experience representing the victims of sexual abuse. These cases range from victims of religious groups, governments, and school boards to victims of the now famous Indian Residential School Program for First Nations peoples across Canada. He has sued church organizations and has had clients from Mount Cashel Orphanage, Indian Residential School Facilities and more recently the Whitbourne Boys' Home and foster homes.
