Orthodontic treatment at this age is what usually comes to parents' mind when they think of orthodontic treatment. At this age, all permanent teeth are usually erupted and there is still growth potential of the jaws. Orthodontic treatments provided at this time focus on the alignment of the permanent teeth in harmony with the jaws and improvement of smile.
The aim of the first visit is to get to know you and to determine if there is a need for orthodontic treatment. After reviewing patient forms with you, Dr. Arat provides a full clinical orthodontic examination. She then reviews the clinical exam findings with you and answers your questions regarding the type, timing and duration of the treatment.
There is a wide variety of removable appliances used in orthodontics. You should wear these appliances as prescribed; otherwise they would not provide the desired treatment outcome. Care: You need to remove your appliance when you are eating. After you eat, brush your teeth with toothbrush + toothpaste and brush your appliance with toothbrush ONLY.
We will be happy to provide you "Canadian Association of Orthodontists (CAO) Certified Specialist in Orthodontics Standard Information Form" for you to submit to your insurance company. Our office does not receive payments directly from the insurance company. When you make a payment to our office, we will provide you a receipt.

Orthodontic treatment is a long journey, and it is important you find the right clinic. Dr. Arat and her team have been very helpful, kind, and attentive from the first day until the removal of my braces. When I had an emergency, they were always ready to help. They have also been very professional during the Covid-19 process. Finally, I’m happy with the end result.

Absolutely love Leaside Orthodontic centre! My teeth were fixed in just over 2 years and I can’t stop looking at them. The staff is so gentle and kind, I completely recommend to all ages. Another great thing is the location, this orthodontist is located in a safe and busy area with many shops. Based on my experience, Leaside Orthodontist is definitely worth the 5 stars.

Leaside Orthodontics has the best staff and the best orthodontist I have met! Thank to Dr. Arat's support and adaptation I was able to continue with my summer plans and go away for a solid 4 months and she said nothing! She did her best to comply with my requests and did her absolute best to make my teeth perfect! I could not be happier with the service they provide from front desk to assistants to Dr. Arat. Whenever I needed anything extra they would provide for me and reply their emails in a few days. I am glad I was a part of their family for the last 3 years.l It was a pleasure.
