Fort McKay Logistics LP is 100% owned and operated by the Fort McKay First Nations Band. We originated our business in 1997 with what started as a mail delivery and shuttle service at Syncrude Canada and has now grown to include accepting and transporting material worldwide. We consider health, safety, security, and environmental performance to be our top priority.
Fort McKay Logistics was awarded the Materials Management contract with Shell Canada to provide the supervision and manpower services necessary to carry out Shell's Heavy Oil Warehousing, Inventory Management, and Materials Management operations at three primary operating and storage locations across Alberta.

Fort McKay Logistics has a skilled inventory control team that practices regular cycle count at every facility and participates in the organization or annual counts with valued customers. We perform weekly audits with cycle counts that are completed on all inventory to ensure that what we have on hand reflects what is in the system.
A great service that we provide to our clients is managing the site stores on oil plant sites in Fort McMurray. The most common products that are located in the site stores are valued at >$100 and we are responsible to maintain the inventory of goods. We check, clean, control and count the material in the site store to ensure that we always keep the perfect ratio of goods.
