Velour Clothing Exchange, founded by Myra Miller, is Calgary's first dedicated buy/sell/trade clothing store. Velour builds on its reputation for carrying a thoughtfully curated, hand-picked collection of clothing and accessories. Velour is committed to assisting customers define and expand their personal style by offering a curated mix of gender-neutral 60s to 90s vintage and contemporary pre-owned items in a relaxed environment.
Having experienced the 70s and 80s first hand, I'm thrilled to see so much of contemporary design influenced by previous eras. Since I bring the vintage element to the table with my age, I currently enjoy wearing contemporary minimalist, monochromatic clothing. I often blend oversized items, menswear, and tailored pieces to create unique fashion-forward outfits.

Services
Velour Clothing Exchange is a buy/sell/trade store that buys clothing directly from the public. At Velour you can buy clothing in our store, sell your gently used clothing to us for cash or trade your items for store credit. Bring in a minimum of 10 items any day we are open, no appointment necessary.
Bike lock up is available along 4th Street. If you drive, there is paid 2hr street parking along 4th street in front of the building (9am - 3:30pm), on the adjacent avenues (18th ave + 19th ave), and Diamond parking behind the building. All street parking is free Sundays, holidays and after 6 pm. We are thrilled to announce that Velour is now located on ground level and is accessible via a slight ramp from the sidewalk.
Once you've created a customer account your store credit will be linked to your account and available to use. A discount code will be automatically generated and added to your purchase in the amount you wish to redeem. Unfortunately store credit cannot be used in conjunction with any discounts, or discount codes when making purchases online.

My favourite secondhand/consignment shop! I bring a lot of my clothes here when I need a wardrobe change, and tons of my most original pieces I have bought from here. I adore Myra and the rest of the staff, and I love being able to chat with them when I'm in dropping stuff off or buying more amazing pieces. Great taste, and super friendly shop :).

Very lovely store, unique clothing, and seemingly friendly employees. However when I went with my friend, she picked out something that apparently was "miss-tagged" and did not get the sale tag. After she finished purchasing, I was in the middle of the transaction and she saw the Student Discount sign. Asked on the spot if she could still get the discount. I've been to a lot of clothing stores and I've never seen a store decline such a request within 2 mins of someone's purchase. She also declined my request after my friend pointed it out. It's a nice store but I left with an unpleasant vibe. So

Velour clothing exchange is now my favourite store in Calgary. i bought the most beautiful 50s dress and the cutest cut off oxford shirt. the staff was so amazing. plus they are a mother daughter combo, so double amazing. I really cant say enough nice stuff about the store. it was well organized and the prices were very reasonable. will be coming back asap.
