Manotick Tree Movers Inc. is a retail tree sales and service company located in rural south Ottawa serving the residential and commercial community of Eastern Ontario and Gatineau. We offer a full selection of top quality ornamental, shade, and evergreen trees, grown locally at our Carsonby tree nursery location.
Trees contribute to a fresh, clean, healthy environment by supplying life giving oxygen, and absorbing carbon dioxide and pollutants from the air we breathe. Trees provide important shade, and moderate air temperature reducing your heating and cooling costs. Trees reduce pollution, act as sound and wind barriers, stabilize and enrich the soil and prevent erosion.
Description: We are looking for someone to assist in growing specimen caliper trees in our tree nursery. The work will include small tree pruning, weed control, IPM, grass mowing, irrigation, staking, planting liners (new nursery stock), tagging trees, inventory, basketing etc. Manotick Tree Movers Inc. is a tree service company that has been serving the Ottawa region for almost 30 years!
Successful summer digging includes a pre-soak using an organic transplant agent, digging over sized root balls, and transporting with tarpaulin protection. The office is closed evenings and on Sundays, however, for your convenience the nursery is set up for you to come and browse, select, tag, and reserve trees on a self serve basis.
Manotick Tree Movers Inc. has a full complement of mechanical tree moving equipment capable of digging up to a 225 mm (9) caliper trunk size. By following strict criteria with regard to size or conditions, the survival rate is over 95%. Much of the success depends on site conditions and the after-care provided by the owner, primarily the water drainage and nutrient requirements.

Manotick Tree Movers is one of the best companies with which I have ever dealt. They are are knowledgeable and friendly. Despite challenges in getting trees on my property, they always found a way and the results are amazing. My husband and I were extremely impressed by the pruning of four trees on our property. The three members of the Manotick Tree Removal staff really took their time and did an excellent job of pruning and shaping our trees. They also took the time to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it. The quality of their work was also noticed by several neighbours on our street who will no doubt be considering the company for future projects of their own. We will not hesitate to recommend the company and will use you again.

This is the second time we have used Manotick Tree Movers to plant trees at our home. The first time was six years ago and that tree has done beautifully. We just added two more trees which we expect to do just as well. Everyone I have dealt with, from the office staff to the guys with the shovels, have been very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The trees are always healthy looking when they arrive despite the obvious trauma of being dug up and driven a good half hour to our home. I highly recommend Manotick Tree Movers for all your tree planting needs.

Unfortunately, we have had to remove 2 trees from our property over the years (the roots of one of them was eating into our foundation and the other tree was growing dangerously close to power lines). As much as it broke my heart to have to get the trees cut down, safety always trumps any crunchy granola sentiments. We used Manotick Tree Movers both times (several years apart) and they were great.
Their phone staff are friendly and courteous. The guys who came to cut down the trees were punctual, efficient and polite. They cleaned up the area really well and were very professional.
