The quality and variety of their bread is unrivaled. I have been buying their products for at least 20 years and they are very consistent in terms of quality. Miss the good old times when the bakery and cafe were busy, but having access to freshly baked bread at a decent price right in the neighborhood is still very valuable.

Outstanding bread, pastries and baked goods! Why buy Dimpflmeier bread at the grocery store, when it’s best from the source? One of the most charming bakery outlets, with kind and friendly staff. Plus the bakery’s products taste like the fresh water they were made from. I wish I was being paid to say this, the Dimpflmeier Bakery is just a genuinely awesome place.

Cash only!!!!
It used to be worth it coming here since their prices were reasonable ($1.35-$1.50/slice).
No longer.
Slices are mostly $2.50.
Fruit tarts are at $3.50
Specialty slices are $3.50.
Not worth coming here and paying cash.
Despite the delightfulness of the pastries, they can be had anywhere else and are not unique in anyway.
The variety of their breads is the only highlight of the bakery.

Have been going there for years. Since the owner past away several years ago it's not the same. Prices have gone to high and the costumer service isn't the same. Employees that worked there before are let go or forced to leave and are replaced by employees that are paid less. The owner's Son-in-law that runs the Bakery is running the Bakery to the Ground and does not really care for the customers but just how to increase the prices. This place is now over priced and I would Not Recommend it anymore.

Mm mmmm this place has it going on! Bread, pastires, coffee, lattes......
We have lived in the neighbourhood for quite a while and needed an option to San Remo bakery for a little variety and we have found it. What a fun place with great prices and some really delicious bread and pastries.
Rye bread: yum yum
Donut balls: not the greatest but my wife liked them
Croissant: a little bread like and less croissant but quite nice
Apple strudel with custard: so so so so so good. If you go there - this is an absolute must have!

I have died and gone to carb heaven! When you walk in you are greeted with large bins of fresh baked rolls, multiple displays of cakes and desserts, and rows upon rows of bread; all baked fresh in house. This Yelper's instinct was to whip out the camera (phone), but there is absolutely no picture taking allowed. Good thing I saw the inconspicuous paper sign at the entrance. Whew! Avoided some major drama with that one.
Dimpflmeier is a German bakery that avoids animal fat in their baked goods and uses only Natural Spring Water from their own Terra Cotta Springs. Fancy that!
Busy on the weekends

Bread for days! Pastries galore! How did I grow up in the west end and never hear of this place? Located just north of Kipling Ave and The Queensway, this is a large establishment - when we drove up, I was expecting a tiny little bakery. Boy, was I wrong .This is legit a bread factory - on the Saturday morning we visited, cars were streaming in packs towards the designated parking spots, crowds of people entering. This is evidently a popular spot.
First, parking. As mentioned, there are spots designated just for Dimpflmeier customers - there isn't a lot, but there's a good amount. Regardless

Just wanted to update my previous review to expose this true HIDDEN GEM right near Kipling Stn!
Grab: Fresh loaves of bread of various kinds at GREAT prices! I grabbed a probiotic loaf of rye and it was $2.10. How could you go wrong with that??
I didn't personally buy any, but it seems like the dinner roll section was quite popular as many people were tongy them AND around dinnertime, staff were still refilling the baskets.
Skip: Cakes pieces from showcase, near café. I found they're hit or miss. The plum cheesecake was alright, not too sweet, but a coffee cake (with coffee
