The KW Guardian Pharmacy is an independently owned Waterloo pharmacy but is a member of the Guardian banner of the Drug Trading Company which means that we are uniquely positioned to effectively meet our patients' needs. Being an independent pharmacy means our staff can get to know you better, while being part of the Guardian banner means that we have access to the most current resources available.

KW Guardian Pharmacy is one of only a few pharmacies in the area to offer Custom Medication Compounding. With a prescription from your doctor we can create a unique medication formula that is specifically designed for you. We're able to offer this unique service because we have a compounding lab right in our pharmacy!
We have a dedicated compounding room on-site where we prepare all of our mixtures. We are able to make most non-sterile dosage forms and we are currently expanding our compounding service to make more products available to our patients. Benefit: Suspensions are often used when medications will not dissolve in a suitable solvent.
The MedsCheck Ontario program is a medication consultation initiative offered by the Ontario Government free of charge to qualifying patients that aims to improve and simplify complicated medication therapy and improve overall health. The program consists of regular consultations between you and a pharmacist and will include a thorough evaluation of your medication profile as well as your level of satisfaction with your particular therapy.
