Inflammation (ITIS) of the wrist and finger tendons that attach to the bone at the inside of the elbow (MEDIAL EPICONDYLE). Together, our staff of registered orthopaedic physiotherapists offers many years of experience in the field of orthopaedics and sports medicine. Our treatment philosophy remains constant: to offer one-on-one treatment that focuses on your specific needs via manual therapy, active exercise, education and prevention.
Every year, more than 1,500,000 Canadians see their family physicians about back pain; at least 8 out of 10 people will experience some degree of low back pain at some point in their lives!. Back pain is by far the most common problem we as physiotherapists treat in our everyday practices. There are many opinions about why back pain is so common and many different ways to deal with back pain.
Maybe it's a nagging ache in your thumbs, every time you practice. Perhaps there have been long rehearsals for that crucial recital, and now you notice stabbing pains in your shoulders. Or you find yourself struggling with hands that have become increasingly clumsy, or numb. It may be that you are even waking up at night with pain in your arms, or your back, or your neck.
We are pleased to offer our patients the chance to utilize rehabilitative ultrasound imaging (RUI) for both the assessment and treatment of the lumbar, abdominal, and pelvic core muscles. This instrument provides valuable knowledge into how the stabilizing muscles of the core are functioning for patients with low back pain, pelvic girdle pain, and / or urinary incontinence.
Acupuncture has been in therapeutic use for thousands of years. The term "Anatomical" acupuncture refers to a more modern approach taken by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (AFCI) utilized to teach western trained practitioners selected points. This enables physiotherapists to effectively incorporate selected acupuncture points as treatment within their scope of practise.

Today was my first introduction to IMS and Pat Palmer was amazing by informing me what she does and how it works. I've been experiencing constant sciatic and left thigh muscle pain for over half a year and already feeling better, have a few more treatments until hip surgery and will be as good as new soon when this takes place.
