For Victoria McGroarty, finding plus-sized clothing she actually wanted to wear was a constant battle. She wanted fashionable, well-made clothing in larger sizes, but couldn't find it. It soon became clear that many other people felt the same way. This gap in the market planted the seed of an idea in Victoria's mind.
Over the course of four years, she gave herself a complete education in the plus-sized clothing industry. She comes from a corporate technology background, but realized that her passion lay elsewhere. Victoria spent four years building the idea of Gussied Up. She researched tirelessly, learning all about plus-sized designers and brands.

This store is Literally the best! Everything I have purchased from Gissied Up has lasted me years. The quality is incredible. Victoria the owner is knowledgeable on different body shapes and how to dress them properly. I love the warm welcoming feeling and non judgmental environment. A great store for anything from a wedding ensemble to a casual comfy day at the gym . Definitely a must visit if you are plus size fashion lover!

Worth the drive if you’re thinking of coming from out of town. The price point is higher than the big box plus stores. There is a great selection of exclusives like Ribkoff. However, some brands are sold elsewhere in town at a much lower price point. It is a tad frustrating to see the same dress are regular price for $35 and to have bought it for $90 here and returns are for store credit only. Check it out if you’re looking for unique pieces, excellent customer service and a great selection!

I found Gussied Up by searching google for plus sized stores in Toronto. I came from out of town after exhausting the big-box and chain plus-size stores in our area. We could not find anything to wear to a wedding that fit me. After the employee helped me choose a number of dresses to try on, all of which actually fit me(!), I purchased 2 of them because I was so happy to find beautiful clothing that fit me well! I felt amazing in both dresses! The sales person was very supportive and truthful when one dress wasn't the most flattering, and complimentary to me about the nicest ones! I will definitely

I spent the last few days trying to find a dress for a wedding and was feeling so overwhelmed until I came to Gussied Up. My daughter told me about them and I had to get there fast because they were closing. I arrived at 3:30-they close at 4pm and I had to rush. There was a lovely lady that helped me and I was able to try on a couple of dresses and narrow it down to 2 and decided on a beautiful wrap dress (thank-you for your help!!). All of the dresses here are gorgeous and really well made. Thank-you and I highly recommend.

Women know how trying shopping can be. Even more so if you're a plus size woman. There are less options if you're of the curvy variety. Luckily, in Toronto we have a lot of little boutiques around the city that specialize plus size.
Gussied Up has been around for a few years in Toronto and even has a store in Vaughan. Victoria, the owner, is an absolute gem and has the best memory! She obviously curates her store to carry great, special pieces and has a variety of classic and basic pieces as well as more higher label pieces that are seldom available to find in Canada.

I love this store so much! I was in Toronto visiting from out of town and a friend recommended Gussied Up. My partner and I had such a fun time shopping here. If I lived within 1000 miles of the store I would probably never shop anywhere else.
The range of clothing was very impressive for such a small store and everything was gorgeous, stylish and interesting. For reference, I like to sew and I am very picky about prints. Usually I dislike at least 50% of the hideous prints clothing for fat women can be made of...but I think I only found one item in the entire Gussied Up store that I didn&apos

I have yet to buy anything yet! But I love the fashion here! It's hard to find fashionable plus size clothing that's in and looks good. I worked at Bathurst and bloor and it was always on my way so I would stop in and look around. The owner is very nice, willing to help but no pushy and let's you browse without feeling like you need rush.
I find it a bit pricy for my wallet, but it is understandable cause its plus size and up to date with the latest fashions. There is a few things I would buy, maybe later when I have the funds!

I'm not the target market of this friendly looking boutique but I've often walked past it and admired the pretty dresses in the window display and was surprised to find that there were no reviews for it on Yelp. Thus, I decided I'd make a heroic sacrifice for my fellow yelpers and go in and check it out.
The owner Victoria was lovely and happy to chat with me and her store itself is well laid out with a pleasant atmosphere. There was a wide range of attractive clothing for sizes 14+ as well as jewelry and other accessories. I should note here that she's not currently stocking
